Expensive low quality food in a noisy part of the harbour with no music. Textbook tourist trap. Wasn't my choice to dine here.
The food was either bland, overcooked, the waiter just grabbed a (male) friend's shoulder like they were buddies, and some of the dishes are just a scam.
The fish roe salad (tarama) was GRITS. Couldn't taste any trace of roe. 6.9eur! For grits! Fish soup came with tiny bones, so I had to dig my hands into the soup to pull them out. Soup was also overcooked and didn't taste like fish - I think they poached the fish separately and added it afterwards. Stuffed peper and tomato were so overcooked, bland, and filled with mint that it felt like eating minty dog food. Beef stew was chewy. Complimentary 'dessert' was cubes of grits boiled in water with sugar and dusted with cinnamon. I can make a better grits pudding at home in 5 minutes. Bread served was dry, cheap white bread. Kabourelia salad derved on top of a flattened out tortilla that you can't grab anf soaks in the vinaigrette.
And they just tried to charge me and my bf for 5 items when we ordered 3. Came back with an amended bill but they still overcharged us by...
Read moreReason for 2 stars and not a big zero , is because the sardines was just decent and kolokithokeftedes just bearable. The rest of the food we ordered, Greek salad was just a joke. A small tomato or half of tomato, half a cucumber,an idea of onion ,couple of olives, few tiny pieces of feta . The most important ingredient in a Greek salad is the olive oil which was absolutely absent. And that so called Greek salad was charged for 8.5 euro. The thrapsalo sided by half potato and few veg was charged 16 euro, but the quality of the dish wasn’t even close to the price of it. First of all it wasn’t fresh, thrapsalo and the potato. Also it was tasteless. The Arni kleftiko for 17.5 euro…the portion of it was to feed a small child and the taste of it was just average. In total with drinks we paid 80 euros, which is too much for such a poor quality food. Big disappointment, definitely will not...
Read moreFABULOUS FIND. This place is on the "Old Port" facing the daily trip ships. Not at the New Port with all its yachts and many seasonal cafes. It's year round, owned and run by a wonderful family that make you feel at home with all the Greek locals. Fantastic choice of food and drinks. They'll cook whatever you like from a traditional Greek dish to just chips and egg. Just ask for it! Perfect English spoken as well as many other languages. Small clean visible kitchen. We have the fish mezze along with ouzo and plenty of ice. The dishes just kept coming and coming one after the other!! The whole menu very reasonably priced. If you just fancy an ice cold lager watching the world go by, this is the place to be. Lovely warm welcome,...
