Ammos Restaurant - Cafe — Restaurant in Skopelos Municipality

We were a bit sceptical after reading the reviews and we left the restaurant with a big smile on our face. The prices are bit higher as we expirenced in other restaurants, but the view and location could be reason. The waiter was professional gave us nice hints and DIDN'T PUSH ANYTHING, also, he asked, he want some bread, IT WAS NOT MANDATORY, as in most of the average restaurants. The steamed mussels were a bi too intense with citrus flavour, but the grilled octopus was just perfect. We also had a surprise dessert. Service poor the night we went. Had to remind them ofourfrinks order. The starter came out along with one of the main course dishes- the main course dish was cold, didn't fancy eating cold gyros....

They took it away then my partners main course arrived but mine didn't. I had to wait another 10-15 mins for the gyros to come out.

The excuse was that it was really busy....not an excuse for poor service or food coming out in the wrong oror cold. Another table next to us had the same problem. They had only started their starters when their main courses were brought out.

Would not recommend...

Much better that the other highly reviewed restaurants in the area (maybe not 5 stars but Im giving 5 to balance the other reviewes but without hesitation 4.5) Definitely worth the visit. Best dolmadakia ever had in a restaurant ever (they were definitely not from the can). Overall very good experience. Will certainly visit again. Live music was very authentic and something missing in much of the other restaurants in the area priced and rated higher....
