An unforgettable dinner at one of the most authentic and welcoming restaurants in Skopelos. Dougia is a place full of tradition, where every dish tells a story of passion for Greek cuisine. We tried several specialties, all absolutely delicious, but a special mention goes to the meatballs, simply unforgettable. Tender, flavorful, clearly made with love. The best we’ve had in Greece! The evening became even more magical thanks to a live music group performing traditional Greek songs with incredible emotion and authenticity. The melodies of this beautiful land touched us deeply and created a truly special atmosphere. I wish I had caught the name of the band, I’d love to follow them on social media. They were amazing! Attentive service, a warm, family-like atmosphere, and fair prices. Dougia is not just a restaurant – it’s an experience that stays with you. Highly recommended for anyone looking to feel the true soul...
Read moreI ate here recently and wasn’t impressed at all. It was recommended by my Air B’n’B host who lived on the island. As you enter, it looks pleasant enough, though there are still smokers who sit on tables in some areas! There are locals, mostly men and tourists with live music on weekends.

I informed him that I wasn’t impressed, could I maybe have something more appealing, local cuisine with potatoes and vegetables maybe? I got ignored at this request. Two guys from Luxembourg who I was eating with got luckier and had nice food or so they said. I was very underwhelmed, so gave it all to the cats that wander around...
Read moreA restaurant with a simple menu but done very well. The pitches are reasonable and the atmosphere is very nice. The person who greeted us and served us was really nice and had a good sense of humour which always makes a difference.
I'm taking specifically about the restaurant as the cafe is overpriced and the code is just ok and they don't give you any water like the other local places so feels a bit touristy..
Back to the restaurant, I had souvlaki which came with chips which were both delicious with healthy amount of oregano. For chip purists, they are a bit limp and not crispy but I was fine with that. 🙂 They have alcohol free beer which is good for me.
There were a bunch of locals singing and laughing and it really felt authentic to me.. as a non greek person.. so don't take my word for it. This weekend we will go back and see if we can catch...
