Kraken | Seaside Drink & Dine — Restaurant in Skopelos Municipality

We went there for dinner. Around 7 p.m., the beach bar transformed into a restaurant, with tables and small lamps set directly on the sand – the perfect setting to enjoy the sunset.

For starters, we had grilled octopus. It was slightly firm but not rubbery, with a lovely charcoal aroma, perfectly seasoned, and served on a smooth fava with lemon and punchy capers. Flavor-wise, it was beautifully balanced. We also tried a cheese spread with pita, which was average.

For mains, we ordered sea bass, mussel risotto, and a burger for our child. The sea bass was the highlight – an excellent, well-prepared fillet, light and satisfying. The risotto, however, felt overcomplicated in flavor. The mussels (served out of the shell) were large and meaty but tasted somewhat processed. The risotto itself was creamy and included feta, pepper cream, and tomatoes – a combination that didn’t quite work for us. The burger came with a big 220g patty, but the bun tasted industrial, the only sauce was mayonnaise, and while the fried egg was well cooked, overall it was just average. At €12 it was fair, but nothing special.

For dessert, we shared a lemon pie – lemon curd over biscuit crumbs. It was pleasant, lighter, and not as overly sweet as typical Greek desserts.

I DONT WANT TO GIVE EVEN THIS STAR !!!!!!! What a shame it was nice location so we went in... they kept us waiting and even though we called a waiter to give our order they were talking to each other and smiling ... THEY DIDNT EVEN CARE THAT THE CUSTOMER IS WAITING... finally a boy came and after 20 mins he was like no its not possible to make a smoothie without this and that.... I would like to ask if I have problem with blackberry do you really can't make a smoothie without it!!!!and when my fiancée asked for a fresh pomegranate juice he was like no its not possible... so we went like asking I think atleast 4 choices and NOT EVEN ONE WAS AVAILABLE!!!!!!!

Unfortunately back from Skopelos and now is the time to write something about it. Before I start, I really have to say that I can't understand the last comments written in German?! Quality and prices do not match? Oha! After many visits, my wife and I discussed how much more the prices would be here in Germany. We ate breakfast; we drank coffee; we drank cocktails; we ate real dishes a couple of times. Again and again the quality was sensational. Added to this is the friendliness of all employees but above all of the owner. You immediately get cold water with ice on the table; you can use the deck chairs free of charge; you can take a shower; the toilets are squeaky clean; nobody puts pressure on when to pay and when otherwise. We are grateful that there are such corners on Skopelos. Thank you again, dear...
