We didn't make a reservation but got the last table by chance. Staff is so kind, they are lovely. We ordered a burger( which is not a typically burger, they just brought burger meat and potato chips without any bread ), fried kalamari, fried zucchini, mousakka and kadayifi with ice cream. In total we paid 56 euros. Burger was a surprise since there is only meat and chips but it tasted perfect! Kalahari is so crispy and delicious. Mousakka is so tasty, you can taste each layer and all of them are in a perfect taste harmony once you eat, the parmesan on top, the eggplant, the potato..it is my favorite you should try it! Zucchini is also so delicious, you can taste the Zucchini itself, the oil they used is so light and tasty. Last but not least the kadayifi..OMG! super soft, so tasty and aromatic flavourful and the ice cream it came with is just so milky, a perfect combo! After we paid the dinner they also gave us chocolate mousse free of charge and it is also super delicious! I highly recommend this place to you! Also be ready to share your meal with some cute cats! I really admire the Nikos Taverna for taking care of the cats, they are so lovely! They just wait for you to give a small piece of your food, they don't bother...
Read moreThe food was delicious and well cooked, the atmosphere is nice, as it’s a tavern on the beach and it’s shady. Leaving two stars because of the service. We were waiting for someone to take our order for almost half an hour! We had lunch at ~3pm (not that busy hour). The waiter noticed us but was not coming though he was not busy serving other tables. We had to go and ask him to take our order. When he was serving the food he spilled one of our full cups of water on the table and even though he noticed our reactions and the water all over the table, he continued to serve the food without even excusing himself, so we had lunch on a table which was soaked in water! The only reason we didn’t turn it into a problem and didn’t leave immediately was because we were really hungry and because it was warm and hoping that this water will disappear soon …but honestly speaking the rudeness of the waiter was totally out of chart and ruined...
Read moreThe food was pretty good. We had a greek salad and a Souvlaki. The greek salad was alright in portion size, but I wish I could say the same about the Souvlaki. 1 souvlaki cost me 11 euros while in Skopelos town you could get a similar one for 2 euros a piece from a local grill tavern. The souvlaki came with a quarter of a fried potato and a slice of lemon with no sauce or pita bread. We also ordered 2 lemonades, but we got canned store bought lemon flavoured soda instead. Before the waiter took our order, he brought 4 slices of store bought bread, which we thought were included in the price of the food, but when we paid the bill, we found out that they charged us 2 euros for them. Overall, if you don't mind paying extra for average food, it is an alright tavern, but you should deny their water/bread if you...
