Taverna Olga's Place — Restaurant in Thassos Municipality

We came for Greek Night hoping to enjoy a pleasant evening with good food and drinks. Unfortunately, the experience was far from what we expected. We waited over 30 minutes just to get our drinks. The food took more than an hour to arrive, and when it finally did, we realized one portion was missing due to some mix-up. Staff said it would arrive shortly, but it ended up taking another full hour. The food itself was completely bland and lacked salt. There was no salt on our table, and even though we asked for some, we never received it. In the end, we had to take salt from another table. Overall, a very disappointing experience – poor service, bad organization, and tasteless food. We sincerely hope the management takes this feedback seriously and improves...

Nažalost, jedno od najgorih iskustava u restoranu. Usluga je bila izuzetno spora i neorganizovana – konobari se nisu odazivali na porudžbine, a na hranu smo čekali skoro sat vremena. Jedna porudžbina (moja) je potpuno zaboravljena, i dodatno smo čekali još sat vremena da bi je doneli, dok su ostala jela omekšala, ohladila se i postala odvratna. Osnovne stvari poput začina i sirćeta nismo dobili čak ni na zahtev, a sirće koje su na kraju doneli bilo je pokvareno, sa znakovima buđi. Kada smo se požalili, menadžer je došao tek nakon sat vremena, bez izvinjenja, i umesto toga verbalno nas napao, pitajući zašto se odmah nismo žalili, tvrdeći da je "takva njihova receptura". Na kraju su ponudili da ne naplate stvari koje smo poručili, a koje nisu ni doneli. Veoma neprofesionalno, nekulturno i razočaravajuće. Za restoran u turističkom mestu kao što je Tasos – veliki minus. The service was extremely slow and disorganized — waiters ignored our requests, and we waited nearly an hour for our food. One dish (mine) was completely forgotten, and we had to wait an additional hour for it, by which time the other meals had gone soggy, cold, and frankly disgusting. Basic things like salt and vinegar were not provided, even after we asked. The vinegar they eventually brought was spoiled and visibly moldy. When we complained, the manager came after another full hour, and instead of apologizing, he verbally attacked us, asking why we didn’t complain "immediately", and claimed that "this is their recipe." In the end, they only offered not to charge us for the items we had ordered but never even received. Extremely unprofessional, rude, and disappointing. For a restaurant in a tourist destination like Thassos — this was a big letdown. We absolutely do not...

We had a fantastic meal at Olga’s Place Taverna in Thassos! The atmosphere is relaxed and welcoming, and the service was friendly and attentive.

The food was outstanding—fresh, authentic, and full of flavor. The seafood was perfectly cooked, and the traditional Greek dishes were some of the best we’ve had on the island. Portions were generous, and everything tasted homemade with real care put into it.
