Yasouvlaki - Skala Potamias — Restaurant in Thassos Municipality

Service was not only slow but chaotic and lacked organisation. We ordered wine and 2 main dishes - Fish platter for 2 and Kokorechi, but no one brought wine. 40 minutes later a waitress came apparently bringing our dishes but went to the wrong table. We tried calling her to bring the plates but she didn’t notice us. Waited for her for another 5 minutes to go back to the kitchen and emerge with the same 2 plates but no wine. When we asked her to bring it we had yet again to wait for another 10 minutes.

The portions were definitely not big enough. We ordered a fish platter for 2 which was enough for just one person. So one of us was still hungry and we decided to order some grilled meat but didn’t want to wait for another 45 minutes so we asked how long it takes. After they told us maximum 15 mins we made an order.

Guess what :) We waited for 20 minutes and called a waiter again and asked where is our order. She took note of it and said I will come back in 5 mins. We waited for 20 MORE minutes (40 minutes again in total) but she never came back. Finally, we saw our initial waiter and asked to cancel the order. We went to speak with the manager and they told us the kitchen never received our order.

They didn’t offer any compensation for the wasted time. Terrible service, we will definitely...

I have mixed feelings about this place. The first time we've eaten here, we sat next to the green plants, a nice organised place. We ate chicken gyros plate, souvlaki and tzoutzoukakia, and after we payed we received a dessert. The second time, there were no tables at the front, so they put us to the back, three meters away from a parked car, with no lights, the table being on sand. We ordered a mixed plate for two, but everything was fried, it was full of oil. I got sick on my way home, my bf the next morning had serious stomach problems. I'm not sure if we got sick because of the too much oil or we got food poisoning (I made a fever later that night). There was an old man (probably the owner of the place) who was annoyed or had a bad day. When we asked for the bill, he has brought us, and stayed there until we payed, we even had to rush to pay.
