D &B'S BBQ Restaurant — Restaurant in Zakynthos Municipality

Having just returned from Zante after an 11 night stay we visited D&Bs BBQ Restaurant 5 times in the evening and once for lunch. What can I say!? The best food by far we had on our holiday! We visited a few other places that got highly recommended on Social Media but didn't come close to this Restaurant. D&B's offers you great, well stunning food, a nice relaxed atmosphere with some great tunes playing quietly in the back ground, excellent friendly and chatty hosts who always make time to chat with you and most of all make you feel very welcome while there. Other places on the strip just pull you off the pavement giving you a load of old spiel to get you in, and serve you tasteless overpriced food with no atmosphere and in general dont' care about you or the food they serve you. I'm a very good home cook myself and know and appreciate good tasty food. Here at D&Bs everything was perfect and tasted excellent on every visit. If you like baby back BBQ ribs you have to give this place a visit as they are STUNNING, the meat falls from the bone and is so tasty and tender it's unbelievable. The Philly Chicken and Chicken Souvlaki are also excellent and great value for money along with their delicious, succulent, juicy homemade beef burgers. If you love fresh fries also, these are amazing! Some dishes also come with free garlic bread and to top this fantastic place off they also give you a free dessert too which is just perfect. This place is just set back from the main strip away from all the hussle and bustle and is set in the Zante countryside, stunning surroundings in a lovely quiet area. A two minute walk from the strip will get you here and once you've visited I guarantee you'll return numerous times like we did. After our meal we also sat at the bar for drinks as the nice quiet atmosphere suited us more to the loud and rowdy atmosphere found on the Kalamaki strip. All in all a SUPERB 10* restaurant from us. Absolutely fabulous restaurant! Well worth the little walk off the strip. Dan the owner is the perfect host, making you feel welcome immediately. The beers alone deserve a visit!! Served ice cold in frozen glasses. We order beef stifado and full rack of ribs. Each came with rice/fries and garlic bread, along with salad garnish. Simply perfect. My beef was slow cooked and so tender, bags of flavour. Hubby's ribs were falling off the bone, smothered in delicious house recipe bbq sauce. No room to sample anything else, well except more beers!! Such was the friendly atmosphere, after eating we even ended up sharing a large table with two other sets of customers, drinking and chatting away til close. This place is a must, food was fantastic. The place had an American theme which was fantastic. Such a relaxed atmosphere we could’ve chilled there all day. The owner was brilliant. Super friendly and accommodating. We did the mini golf as well which was mega fun. My partner is pregnant and he went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable and made sure she didn’t suffer to much in the heat. Genuinely kind hearted and caring man!
