A little oasis of loveliness, just walking distance from the town. Cutest pink indoor/outdoor bar with a twinkly garden for outside dining/drinking and inside is whitewashed with lovely touches of recycled woods and trinkets and treasures to look at. The family who own/host are absolutely lovely and obviously care deeply about their place. The food was delicious - the best we’ve had in Zakynthos. Small and big plates to share. The pitta was warm and tearable, brushed with lovely oil and the hummus was very homemade and delicious and chunky. We had the rice and seafood dish, marinated sardines, wedges and a delicious Greek salad. My margarita was fab and the mint/ginger sodas were delicious. We had a lovely chat to the owners on our way out as it was nice and quiet and saw the lovely couple of cats enjoying a relax (they weren’t bothersome if you don’t like cats by the way). We wish we’d found this lovely place earlier but if we’re back to Zante, it would be my first stop. Fantastic Greek meze at really reasonable prices. We had a table for nine and the bill came to only 20 Euros per head, and we all ate well and had quite a few drinks. The service is quick and friendly and the host Lizzie and her family made us feel really welcome. The food is incredible and the cocktails are well made also. We've been a couple of times now and there's a great atmosphere with pretty rustic decor and it's a great venue to watch the sun go down as there is a pleasant view of the olive trees over the road. The searing temperature on Zakynthos restricted us to staying close to the hotel but on our first venture out we discovered this absolute gem of a place. A patio-style restaurant with food as delicious as the welcome is wholehearted, we felt immediately comfortable and were impressed by the wide range of locally inspired Greek dishes available. Little touches like frosting the beer glasses and making a table in the shade available to us rather than one exposed to the evening sun really made the difference.
