The hotel itself is really nice, the staff are great and the view is absolutely fantastic. For those people who have difficulty with hills the clues in the name and an elevated view from pics help drive home the point. The rooms themselves are a bit small but why even go on hols if going to stay in your room. They are fine for 2 people Three small reasons why it does not get 5 stars. The WiFi consistent but quit slow did a few speed tests and only runs about 2-3 mps Hot water is a bit hit and miss definitely run on and older solar system which is common in Greece and fluctuates rather than at anytime just cold. Could do with thermo control. The main reason though was in September the restraunt was inundated with wasps. OK this can happen and at this time of year, but there was not 1 single wasp catcher around. They can be made in 5 minutes from cola bottles. This was frustrating and irritating. The food was good though and I would have had dinner there a couple of times but the wasps were enough for breakfast and I wasn't going to pay more to have them pestering in the evening. The hotel is a 15 -20 minute walk to centre of argassi and about 70 minutes walk to the centre of Zakynthos Town. Great hotel but wasps(autumn) and to a lesser extent wifi and hot water small issues. I would definitely recommend...
Read moreWe have just returned from a wonderful week staying at the Ionian Hill Hotel. We requested an early check in, due to arriving early in the morning and this was accommodated without any issues. The hotel is set on a hill overlooking Zakynthos town and parts of Agassi, along with fantastic views of the sea. Our room was beautiful, clean and compact with a balcony and magnificent views of the sea. We had fresh towels and our bed made daily. The staff are exceptional, a warm welcome from the reception team and a good selection of breakfast in the morning, the lady that runs the breakfast is wonderful, warm and friendly, I recommend the homemade marmalade, so tasty. We ate 3 nights in the restaurant Al Nur, which is part of the Hotel, the food was fantastic, I highly recommend eating there, the evening waitress and waiter were great, really attentive and great customer service. We ended each evening with cocktails from the bar when we returned from eating out, both the Zakynthian Sunset and Al Nur Tafathalo are wonderful and a perfect accompany to the nighttime view of Zakynthos. We have stayed in several Hotels over the past in Zakynthos and this by far was the best. Thank you to all of the staff, you made our holiday truly wonderful, we...
Read moreAbsolutely loved our recent stay at Ionian Hill Hotel. From check in to check out our stay was easy, peaceful and clean.||Parking is located at the top (quite a steep drive up and sharp corner). The lobby, grounds and rooms are spotless. |The lady at breakfast and lunch was absolutely lovely. She seemed to really enjoy interacting with everyone and went above and beyond to ensure everyone was looked after. The only problem we found were the wasps whenever you wanted to eat by the restaurant they would appear instantly. I'm not sure if this was due to the time of year but there were alot of them!|We had a room on the ground floor by the pool (room 5) it was lovely. We did feel like more cupboard clothes space would have been useful as we stayed for 10 nights and you could hear water when people above were using their bathrooms.|The air conditioning worked perfectly however the power stopped when you took your key out so don't leave anything in the fridge that could go off!|The pool is not heated bur after a few moments you get used to the temperature. It's a very deep pool but always clean with the best view. Plenty of sunbeds.|Would Absolutely stay here again if visiting zakynthos. A beautiful island but you...
