so i was looking at hotels to stay for a week in May! i checked the comparison websites and came across this one then thought to check their own web page to see if it was cheaper and yes it was as i saved about € 30 for 6 nights. I found the hotel easy enough as it was at the end of the resort of Argassi going up the hill next the the Garden restaurant. There is car parking across the road but limited to about 4 - 5 cars but if you take the first left going down to the sea there is some spaces where hotel takes you up to the pool area. Check in was easy young girl was friendly and english was good snd explained everything thats needs be including free wifi. You also have to pay tourist tax which was €3 a night to pay.|first impressions of room big spacious with a big fridge next to the bed but lacked places to put your clothes. there was a dressing table with one drawer and a mirror and seat and two side tables with a small compartment in both. a big wardrobe with 3 hangers ! and a safe no drawers so lacked drawer space. the safe is a key lock one which i take it you have to ask reception for the key but who wants to drag another key around with them.|bathroom is small but weirdly designed as look at my pic the shower head holder is in a wrong place as you have to shut the window then break your neck to actually wash your hair then the water all goes out from the bath even though you have the shower curtain shut so the floor gets flooded even though there is a drain. just small things could make this better. then the shower rack fell off and i told them and they said they would fix it but had not and this was day 2!! then the towels the new ones they gave me on day 2 had all this red stained stuff on it so i took them back as i don’t know if it was washed or not and the new ones they gave me had similar so i used my beach towel until i got fresh ones the next day. aircon was good but only works when the patio door is closed so make sure you close this, i never made my bed one day as i had a bad night sleep was tossing and turning and thought they will change the sheets anyway. well they did change the sheets but left them at the end of my bed for me to make myself ! bed is a mattress with a mattress topper on it with 2 pillows was ok. there is also a tv but all mainly Greek channels a few programs and films late at night are in english just need to flick through to get them.|the breakfast is included which is quite good , they have fried egg, omelette, little sausage, mushrooms, beans, bacon, pastries, bread for toasting in machine, serial, veg and fruit and yogurt, there is also a coffee machine and a fresh orange machine so quite a good selection for a small hotel.|the pool area nice sun loungers with umbrellas and a pool bar which doesn’t look like they actually use it any longer which is a shame but needs the roof fixed as you see this from the dining area and a lot of rubbish up there. again potential to be great and have people stay at the pool during the day.|stairs take you down to the sea not much of a beach but stairs to take you in the water a few rocks but a big clearing to sandy area so good for swimming in.|a short walk takes you to a lot of restaurants and the main area with bars etc also but beware no footpath the majority of the way down the hill but only takes 5 to 10 minutes to get there.|All in all id say this hotel is boarder line 3* but i suppose you get what you pay for, now i think if they had the right Manager and invested a little money to fix the problems and make the rooms a bit better this could be a better hotel and be able to charge a little more.|if your just needing a place to sleep and going out all day like myself then this is ok but if you want a hotel you can spend the major of you time there at the pool etc then i would not recommend this unless the do improvements and have drinks etc available at the bar without going upstairs to reception or the other bar which no-one really...
Read moreWe rented a basement type room so Wi-Fi and mobile data was super poor, almost impossible to use.
First of all the curtain did not cover room window all the way!!! People can see you when they are by the pool while you are laying in bed!! 😳 It is so uncomfortable because sometimes you can feel that someone is watching you. Especially that it is a basement floor so people are above you.
The room is extremely wet. There is a dehumidifier, which fills up twice a day! It always shows that humidity is around 90%.
You can't use fridge during night because its super noisy so keep that in mind.
Bathroom has no shower curtain and no holder for shower head so when you are taking a shower everything that is inside of bathroom gets wet, floor gets flooded, there is a hole to drain water on the floor, but floor is still always very slippery and dangerous (no matts on the floor, which is necessary for this kind of floor, they are waiting for someone to get an injury I suppose.. and also at least a shower curtain would solve humidity problem, because when bathroom is all wet - whole room gets super humid) .
Bed is very uncomfortable, you can feel metal spirals in your back while sleeping, they definitely needs new matresses.
Mosquitoes. We had to get up every night from bites, turn on the lights and kill at least 2-3 mosquitoes per night.. there are no nets on the Windows from it, and you just can't sleep with your windows closed because of the 90% humidity in the room sometimes it even gets hard to breathe. (dehumidifier is too noisy to keep it on during the night).
Cleaners have left our doors OPEN after cleaning 2 days in a row!! I'm glad nothing got missing. The door was not even closed. Not even talking about locking. It was completely OPEN. And we came back from town in the evening!!! So anyone could just come in!!
And finally - during Breakfast water tastes like tap water!! That chloro after taste almost made me sick! They are definitely mixing normal drinking water with tap water!
However
I love the location. Its very close to all bars and shops. Breakfast view is stunning. Nice pool and friendly staff. Breakfast was okay. Just maybe needs more difference because food is always the same. But eggs are always cooked to a perfection.
Overall after this experience I would...
Read moreTerrible experience. DO NOT BOOK. One of the worst experiences I had. There’s no way this is a 3-star hotel.
From where to begin: Small and inconvenient bathroom, it smelled very bad and we had to keep the door closed. The shower water is salty! I don’t know if other hotels are like this, but it felt like the water is straight from the sea. I had to ask for shower gel twice. They were also very basic, the cheapest you can find. They don’t change the towels daily - even if you want to. It’s something they don’t write anywhere in the description. One of the towels was brand new, never washed. We realized it because my partner is allergic to the white particles the tower was leaving. And it was too late… The breakfast is ridiculously basic, the ingredients are not fresh. There are beehives outside the rooms and you have to chase 4-5 of them every time you have breakfast. Last day they put spiral-shaped coils on top of the tables (!) to repel the bees. This is not a bee repellent and also it’s toxic, especially when you eat and especially when you are eating. WiFi never had signal in the room, I didn’t dare to ask. The air conditioner is firing directly to the bed, we were suffering from neck pain both of us. The bed was also terrible, with 2 mattresses instead of a double one, and the sheets are going off making you sleeping directly on the mattress which is disgusting. We haven’t tried the pool, but I didn’t see anyone cleaning it all the 8 days I stayed. Also, the pool bar is not operating.
Do you want more? I have but I’m too...
