I rarely write reviews – but after this restaurant visit, I have no choice. As someone who works in the industry myself, I understand that not everything can always run perfectly. But what we experienced at Nima Seafood Stories was simply disappointing.
Our table was reserved for 9:30 PM, and we arrived promptly at 9:35 PM. The restaurant wasn’t busy, yet it took 25 minutes before anyone came to take our order.
We ordered three starters, but only two were brought out. The third – fried calamari – arrived only after we asked about it, and long after we had finished the other dishes. Honestly, they could have skipped it altogether: 80% rings, overly salty, dry – inedible. We left it untouched.
For the main course, we ordered a pasta dish and a whole fish. The pasta (paccheri) was lukewarm and completely unsalted – neither the sauce nor the pasta had been properly seasoned. The fish tasted good (which one would expect for €85), but it was also served lukewarm, likely because the waiter was clearly inexperienced in filleting it at the table.
Dessert was the final letdown: imitation “churros” with no flavor, and a cookie that was nothing special. No satisfying end to the meal – just more disappointment.
When we left the restaurant: not a single goodbye, no thank you, no acknowledgment from the staff. A service experience straight out of the manual for “how not to run a restaurant.”
