Piscina Pool Bar — Restaurant in Zakynthos Municipality

I have no clue what the 1 star reviews are about saying that the staff are rude. We've spent 7 days at Eleas Gi and have had drinks/food every day here. When we got here we were met by the lady working at the bar who was so friendly and welcoming and phoned for the owner of Eleas Gi to come and meet us. Following days they've been nothing but nice and friendly. One day we had to leave early to go to a beach that was further away and the guy served us a coffee before they were even open. They've also gave us recommendations of where to go that to see so it was a truly friendly experience spending time here.

I think it's only normal to spend some money at a pool especially if you're coming from other hotels to spend time at the here. It's part of the experience of staying at a pool after all. Also I think 10€ consumption to get 2 sunbeds and an umbrella is nothing.

We stayed at the nearby Eleas Gi for a week so this was our local pub and pool during this time. From beginning to end, all the staff were really friendly and helpful, going far beyond their job and giving us recommendations of places to go, things to try and many more. The food and drinks here were always great and served perfectly. The pool is nice and only requires a €10 per person purchase to use throughout the day, including sunbeds and umbrellas, which is amazing value compared to anywhere else on the island. It's open from very early until late and I would say the prices are fair given everything that is offered. Overall it was a fantastic experience and I can strongly recommend this place. Terrible place to visit, nice location but the staff are just horrid. It’s like they hate children, one of the male bar staff came out and starting shouting at my 7 year old for jumping into my arms in the pool. My child was in tears and very frightened. As a woman I felt very threatened and scared by the 2 male staff at the bar they were very aggressive and I watched them swearing at one customer because they complained. The language they used was disgusting especially in front of children. I considered calling the police when I got back to my hotel as I was so upset and felt threatened but instead told the holiday rep who promised to let all holiday makers to stay away from the Piscina pool bar.
