Lazaros deserves all 5 stars as we absolutely loved this place!! We are an adult family of 4 (2f & 2m) and we rented a ‘Superior’ apartment (rm 18) for 10 nights at the start of July which had its ground floor entrance straight onto the pool area. Located about 25 minutes taxi ride from the airport through the afternoon rush hour which the hotel organised for us via an email prior to leaving the U.K. The air con was such a blessing through the hot days and especially the nights and the 4 single beds were great for everyone (V.firm mattress if you like that thing). The buffet style breakfast (until 10:30am) gave loads of choices and filled you up for ages. The rooms are superbly cleaned everyday and the maid even moulded the fresh towels into animals, words and shapes which was such a nice touch. The staff are so professional, friendly and helpful (especially Sonya and Angela who gave us perfect advice on where to explore around the island). The Breeze Bar is a marvellous compliment to the front of the hotel for drinks and snacks and has 10 large flat screen TVs showing football, Wimbledon, cricket and F1 so you could catch up easily over a beer or a fresh cocktail. The location of the hotel is ideal for numerous restaurants, souvenir shops, supermarkets, launderette, bars, vehicle hire showrooms, tour operators for boat cruises (we used MyTours for the Blue Caves) and especially Tsilivi beach which is short walk. Along the main road which runs past the hotel and through Tsilivi is a repeat of the above shops, bars, restaurants, etc. leading to a water park. This is about a 15 minute walk which for €12 per adult you can use from 10:30am until 4:30pm and receive a free snack (burger, slice of pizza, cheese and ham toastie or a hot dog) which were tasty and fresh. The 7 rides are really good fun and easily fills up an afternoon. After 2pm you can pay €8 instead (no snack) and by the time the park closes you feel like you have got your moneys worth. We rented a Suzuki Jimny for 2 days and drove to Keri Lake (South West coast - Google Maps is a must as the road signs are limited and the roads are more like remote U.K. country lanes) where we rented a 5.5m family boat (Captains motor boat rentals) for a minimum of 4hrs and toured Keri Caves and Marathonisi island where we snorkelled. This combo is an excellent choice in my opinion as we had more flexibility and could go and moor up where we wanted. We also drove the boat for a spell too which was good fun 🙂. We checked out the turtle sanctuary at Gerakas bay at the far South East of the island, the Skopos monastery near Agrasi beach south of Zakynthos (4x4 needed on the 500m climb up and down!) and then The White Cross Taverna near Kampi on the western coast for the sunset (arrive around 1hr before and have a meal during...
Read moreBooked this as a very last minute solo holiday due to other holiday plans falling through and WOW what a perfect experience. |I stayed here for a week on my own (27 year old female) and HONESTLY could not fault a single thing. It was so perfect! ||I stayed in a studio deluxe room. This was on the first floor with a lovely balcony equipped with a table and chairs, over looking the pool. The room was extremely modern and looks like it has been recently refurbished. |The room had a kitchenette with all the basic facilities you need- fridge/kettle/coffee maker/hob type equipment/cutlery/plates etc. As well as washing up equipment. |The room was absolutely spotless clean when I arrived and housekeeping also cleaned it everyday to an immaculate standard! I had a walk in shower, with no bath. And a separate bathroom area with a toilet and sink. ||Pool area was clean and never an issue getting a sunbed. I even went out one day and came back about 3pm and managed to get a sunbed. ||The hotel is quite small which I personally love as it makes you feel safe, especially as I was travelling alone.||The hotel is set just back from the main road in the resort of Tsilivi. I never heard any noise at all from the hotel/outside the hotel. |Location is perfect. Literally in the heart of Tsilivi with SOOO many lovely restaurants, as well as bars/shops/supermarkets. Beach is also only about a 7 minute walk away from the hotel. ||Hotel bar serves food and drink all day too, as well as breakfast being included which is lovely too. ||Staff were absolutely lovely, couldn’t do enough for you and so friendly. This definitely contributed to how safe I felt being a solo female in this hotel! ||Honestly the best hotel I’ve stayed in in years. I have been to Zante many times and this tops all of the hotels I’ve been to. Will defo be returning :) ||Thank you SO MUCH for making this the most perfect first solo...
Read moreWe have been to Lazaros every year for the past 7 years. It is such a relaxed and friendly place to stay. It’s located in the heart of Tsilivi and is surrounded by amazing restaurants and bars.
The hotel/apartments are cleaned daily. Pool area is a good size and there is always sun beds available. Staff are super friendly and it’s like home from home, nothing is too much trouble. There is a great pool bar that serves a nice pint of Mythos or cocktails and great meals if you don’t fancy going far. The bar staff get to know you and are happy to have a chat.
It was our daughter’s birthday on the day we arrived and the hotel organised a cake for her. The staff are so helpful and will help organise taxis, meal reservations and can’t do enough to make you stay amazing. My daughter left her bag in the taxi from the airport (which had her phone, iPad etc). Angela, Dennis and Nikkos got on the phone to the companies on the island and manage to find the bag and arranged its safe return, much to the delight of my daughter and us.
Breakfast is included in the stay and there is a huge range of options, I like the fresh fruit the best.
If you are looking for a friendly, relaxed and fun place to stay you really must visit. I can’t wait for next year when we get to come again...
