Seacret Beach Club — Restaurant in Zakynthos Municipality

Great spot, right by the beach. Staff is friendly. You do pay for the sunbeds even though you are ordering drinks/food from the bar which is not ideal but it’s not too expensive. However, they asked us to pay before we asked for the bill, insisted on cash, and didn’t provide any receipt so I guess there’s no way of knowing what you paid for. In addition, our waiter pushed the most expensive drink on the menu which was alright, except for the two tiny caterpillars I found in the cocktail which I don’t believe were included in the recipe. Their bar is right under a tree so I can understand how that happened. But that still shouldn’t be reason enough to do nothing except saying “sorry for this, I’ll let them know”. From my calculations, there was no discount/compensation for this ordeal.

This is not the cheapest place, one of the cocktails (the one with caterpillars) cost almost 17€ which is insane for the quality as it’s just rum with some mixers and crushed ice. So going here you are really paying for the location and location only.

Overall, a really nice spot to spend the day. But take a look at what you order first as well as check for any inconveniences and let them...

Only the music was good….food wasn’t good and overpriced. Staff is not even trained properly, looked like the owner was running around between the staff like headless chicken as they have not much clue what they were doing. When I asked for card machine they told me go to the bar and pay there. When I went there the owner just throw some bill to the guy who was serving me and an other waitress gave him something too while serving me (seriously have no manner, the phrase is true lead by example ) First card (Amex - not everyone taking it that’s ok) was not working so told the guy I will bring an other one. After trying the other he was like make sure this one is working, said not in a pleasant way tough. I’m like yeah sure I won’t run away with it and it’s not the customer fault if they are not accepting all of the credit card. Don’t be trapped by “look like from outside” nice place! Yes, sunbeds are more expensive than the average sunbed on Zakynthos. Luckily you’re not forced to pay and you’re part of a free market that consists of consenting adults.

Beds are up to 50 EUR for two beds and a parasol. People saying you pay 40-50 EUR per bed are definitely incorrect.

Service here is excellent and most of the staff really try and do very well. Some are exceptional for any standard. It’s always interesting that some people feel they are treated badly everywhere they go and never realize that’s entirely their own fault. You’re not entitled to the royal treatment just because you show up.

Food could be better but prices are definitely not outrageous compared to 95% of other European countries.
