STAMNES — Restaurant in Zakynthos Municipality

Really not impressed at all. Went on the 'Greek Night'. Whilst we turned up as a big group 30. They said they could accommodate. In total the meal took 3 and a half hours with the main taking over 2 and half hours to come out. Some starters were okay (muscles, prawns, various breads) but one who ordered meatballs got 3 smallish meatballs and a large plate of chips. Odd for a starter and his main was also to include chips. Didn't say this on the menu. Then when the mains did come they were pretty bad. Had the Halloumi chicken. I love Halloumi but this stuff was so salty it couldn't be eaten. The chicken couldn't have been cooked any more really and was very dry. Was the same with others chicken. Some near us had the mix Greek grill and that basically looked like a bad weatherspoons. Couple of staff were a bit rude too (which is rare around those parts) but in fairness a few were lovely too. Good things include the entertainment was okay. Got to throw some plates. What a place! We've just arrived to our hotel from being here tonight, and I had to leave a review. Because this was incredible. The atmosphere, the food, the service, all second to none. We attended for the Greek night and it was so, so worth it. The atmosphere was amazing. My little one loves dancing, and she was allowed a treat of a dance from the owner himself who took the time to join in. Everything the staff did was in an effort for the atmosphere, and it was felt! The dancers were brilliant, food was incredible, I just wish we didnt attend at the end of our trip so we could do it again! My only recommendation, would be to skip lunch. The starters are massive so we couldn't finish our mains! Which was a shame as it was so delicious 😋

I recently visited this restaurant with my girlfriend, and unfortunately, it was a really disappointing experience. I ordered the gyros, and it was honestly the worst gyros I’ve ever had. The meat was chewy af and the entire dish just seemed like it was poorly put together. My girlfriend had a pizza margarita, and it wasn’t any better. On top of the bad food, the service was just as unpleasant. Our waiter was annoying af Overall, this was a terrible dining experience, and I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone.
