La Media Cancha — Restaurant in Guatemala City

Food is excellent. The restaurant itself is nicely decorated with pictures from the football player who found it. The theme is football by the way. There are special areas for private events and a big space as well. Prices are on the high side but totally worth it for the quality of the food they serve. A downside of the restaurant being on a centric location is the fact that it does not have parking however they have 2 parking lots less than a block and have shuttle service to the restaurant for free. The Lomito didn't meet my expectations. Although very tender, it lacks flavor and feels dry due to the lack of fat. The texture is too soft and lacks the character one expects from a good cut. Nothing beats a ribeye, with its perfect marbling, succulence, and flavor, offering much more flavor and a complete meaty experience.

Furthermore, the customer service was disappointing. The servers seemed more interested in tips than in providing good service, which demonstrates a clear lack of training. It definitely doesn't justify the price. That's why I...

The food was excellent and big enough portion... the staffs were very friendly and atmosphere was very family oriented... the music they played was good choice so all in all I highly recommend to my friends... however, they some how over charged me about $5 to $7 more then what I would normal pay...when I got back to my hotel I noticed so couldn't go back... next time I go will definitely mention that... also I think there were few mosquitoes...
