I recently visited a restaurant with the owner of my company. Upon entering, you're greeted by a rectangular display of their gourmet cheese, sausage, salami, and prosciutto. The freshness and quality of the display immediately give you the impression that this is a legitimate Italian establishment. They also have an aging cheese display, featuring approximately 30-40 cheeses with dates indicated on the shelves. Surrounding this aging room is an impressive array of shelves filled with different types of wines.
I made a reservation prior to my visit, and the waiter escorted us to our table, which offered a view of the entire surroundings of wines and cheeses, with a patio behind us. We ordered the Risotto con Aragosta al Prosecco (around Q455), a burrata cheese pizza (the exact name escapes me, but it was around Q185), and lomito (around Q300)- all were spectacular.

Read moreThis is the place that made me fall in love with Italian food. For many years I always tried to avoid Italian food, it has never been my favorite and I never understood why people liked it so much. But let me tell you, Monticelli changed my mind. Italian food, as good, fresh and full of flavor like theirs is just amazing. You can taste the freshness and quality of ingredients, is definitely Italian food, not that Americanized version of Italian. The flavors are so well balanced, and perfect to combine with a bottle of wine. Will be back to try more dished and fall more in love with...
Read moreHighly dissapointing thanksgiving dinner experience. First we got sitted next to the parking lot where we got to inhale all of the delicious car fumes everytime a new car parked in. The waiter attending us did a terrible job of taking care of our table, had to ask the waiter for menus, refils for drinks, and also wine refils. Last picture reflects our table after we had paid the bill. The dinner food is average, definetly overpriced. There is nothing I would recommend to eat here apart from the desserts, the panacotas...
