We arrived for a late dinner around 9:15pm. There was a long line as soon as we got there. It took us about 20 minutes to order but the kitchen sent out a few waves of falafels to hold over the people that were waiting. I ordered the shawarma wrap, which I got with everything on it - tahini, hummus, garlic, tomatoes, pickles, onions - and my wife got the spicy fish pita, which isn’t very spicy. You could ask to have them make it spicier. The guys behind the counter are friendly and like to have a good time. I also got the fried eggplant, which is fried goodness. We ordered the pomegranate lemonade and so should you. It’s the bomb dot com. I wouldn’t say the food is cheap, but then again I heard a chef friend once tell me that food never costs as much as it takes to prepare it. Idk if I fully agree but the quote provides some context as to how much work goes into making a good meal. These people make an awesome meal. We heard this place recommended to us by 5 friends back home. I can see why. Even the Tel Avivians next to us told us that HaKosem is the best shawarma place in town. It’s the only place that I’ve been to so far, so I agree so far.

Best possible falafel and humus: delicious, super tasty and always a good sign: lot of locals eat here. You can even feel the taste only from good it smells staying in the queue - yes, usually jt will be a small queue, but it moves fast and you even get some falafel samples on the way. Portions are huge, so I recommend getting the pita one ( which is smaller ) if you’re not really really hungry. I got falafel and humus - being hungry ( only meal of the day ) and I could finish only half. You order at the counter and everything is made in front of you, fresh. Humus will come after 1-2 minutes and you get a ringer to inform you it’s time to check the counter Can also get sauces and pickles salad free of charge from the right side. Definitely recommend, I had the most amazing arabic food ( falafel or humus ) so you must check it out.

Got a falafel pita with eggplant and all the toppings. Falafel was crunchy and delicious, the whole thing came together really well. Also, they had an english menu posted, which is convenient. Edit: Bumping to five stars. Came back a second time and had the shwarma pita and it was *the best thing I've eaten in Israel*, and I've been to about 25 different restaurants in the past month. Every piece of it went so well together. The flavor and texture combinations were divine. The hummus and pita are soft. The meat is juicy and tender with crispy bits scattered throughout. The deep fried eggplant is crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. Everything tastes amazing. I'll admit, I'm a sucker for street food, but this pita was pure wizardry.

Delicious shawarma and hummus!! Amazing pitas. Tried some falafel balls too. Super good. Highly recommended!! I was visiting family in Israel and they took me here it’s the best in Tel Aviv! The shawarma meat isn’t super greasy and gross like it is in North America. I’ve had my fair share of awful shawarmas outside Israel. Also when it is very busy, which seems to be almost always, they’ll give you a falafel ball while you wait in line! I should mention that they work very quickly so the lineups don’t take very long. And their pomegranate lemonade is pretty good too. There’s a really good coffee shop around the corner too if you’re into third wave espresso drinks - place called Cafelix

Very busy running place while the taste is guaranteed. Can see lots of people queued up but still able to have a table. Table also can be shared by asking if you dont have separate table. shame that I couldn't read their text so just verbally ordered falafel and hummus on plate. Falafel comes with dip fried eggplant, yummy!!! Hummus is big enough portion for Single adult. Can share as a snack if you want. I would say simple and nice place. Don't expect the high quality service. I don't mean they are not good. I mean it is awkward to.

I fully expected to say it was good but overpriced. However, after seeing the selection and the amount of food and tasting it it is simply an amazing Tel Aviv value. The salad was devine. So fresh and good. The Shawarma was just magic. The rice with beans, wow, so good. The falafel is simply to die for. Pita it so fresh, fluffy and soft. The tahini is just incredible. I was here 3 years ago and since than this place that was just very good became one of my top Tel Aviv food destinations. Well done friend, do not change a thing.
