Had a really great hot pot dinner here! The ingredients were super fresh—especially the beef slices, tofu, seafood, and vegetables. The broth options were tasty (we had half spicy, half tomato ), and everything was brought out quickly and nicely arranged. But what really made the experience stand out was the service. The staff were incredibly friendly and attentive throughout the whole meal. They helped us set up the pot, explained the ingredients, and checked in several times to make sure we were doing okay without being pushy at all. One of the waiters even gave us suggestions on how long to cook certain items, which was really thoughtful. The space is clean and comfortable, and even though it was a busy evening, the team handled everything so smoothly. It’s a place I’d definitely come back to—not just for the food, but because you actually feel taken care of here. Highly recommend if you’re looking for a comforting and well-run hot pot experience in Budapest!

Aranytál Hotpot in Budapest offers a dining experience that stands apart from the usual. From the moment you step inside, the unique interior—a fusion of modern creativity and warm elegance—immediately sets the tone. The staff’s attention to detail and genuine care for each guest elevate the experience, creating a sense of comfort often missing in bustling city restaurants. The hotpot selection is impressively diverse, catering to both seasoned enthusiasts and first-time explorers of this cuisine. But what truly stands out is the value—generous portions, fresh ingredients, and prices that make you question if you’ve found Budapest’s best-kept secret. Aranytál Hotpot isn’t just a place to eat; it’s a place to linger, share stories, and savor an evening that feels both extraordinary and down-to-earth.

I visited this place with someone from Sichuan (hot pot comes from there) who said that the place most probably run by people from Beijing. So she wasn't really impressed by the food. Neither was I but my expectations might have been too high since this was my first hot pot and it was presented to me as one of the best food ever :) It was still a nice experience but if I take into account that we paid over 22000 HUF(!!!) for a meal for two then it puts the experience in a different context :) The place I believe is usually full of people from China(it was when we were there ). So this is still a good indicator for those who wants to eat a hot pot in Budapest. Beside this the staff is really nice.

The best Chinese meal I ever had! This is worth travelling for! The hot pot concept means that you choose a broth from a menu, and then from a glass display chooses things to cook in the broth. We chose bean sprouts, tofu in the form of tagliatelle, and another kind of tofu. The kind staff then helped us mix up sauces from a sauce buffet, for which we were very grateful. We got two delicious sauces that we mixed in the meal when ready, and it was food heaven! And we would not have been close to able to mix together such goodness on our own. After selecting the vegetables and tofu, we took them to our table. In a square indentation in the table stood a pot with the broth of our choice. We then put our selected food in the broth, and then scooped it up onto little saucers. Then we mixed in the sauces, and enjoyed. I highly recommend this restaurant! And to add to the goodness, we got a dessert each, on the house of fresh fruit and...

Amazing restaurant with really great food and super friendly staff. This was our first hotpot, but defintely not the last. The portions of ingredients are made for 4 persons, and we managed to over order ourselves even though our waiter warned us it will be too much. Luckily you can take away any uncooked leftovers too. Throughout our dinner we have been constantly checked if everything is okay and the staff really does everything to make you enjoy your food, everybody was really professional. All the staff speak perfect english and the restaurant is very clean and tidy. The food was fresh and very-very tasty, just watch out when ordering the spicy broth, these guys dont joke when it comes to chillies. We had a great experience and will visit again for sure, but next time we go with a larger group. Highly...
