If I could give this place 0 stars, I absolutely would. From start to finish, the experience was nothing short of a disaster. The so-called “steak” was paper thin and the driest thing you’ll ever eat, completely unrecognizable compared to how it was described on the menu. The goulash soup was practically inedible — so salty it burned, with barely anything in it. The pork knuckle was just as disgusting, dry and unappetizing. Honestly, nothing on the table matched what was advertised. It felt like the entire menu was a scam. The service somehow managed to be even worse than the food. We waited 40 minutes just to get our drinks, and nearly a full hour before our food finally arrived, only for it to be completely wrong. At one point, we asked three different staff members for something as simple as ketchup, and despite the repeated requests, it never came. The staff were inattentive, disorganized, and gave the impression that they couldn’t care less about the customers. When the bill came, the nightmare continued. Prices were entered incorrectly to make the total more expensive than what was listed on the menu. And after everything — the terrible food, the endless waiting, the nonexistent service — we were forced to pay a massive service fee. It’s insulting to even call it “service” when there was none. Overall, this place is nothing but a scam that charges high prices for terrible food and even worse treatment. It was a complete waste of time and money, and I would strongly recommend avoiding it at all costs.

I would nit recommend. Even tím there were not many other people, we waited for a long time. The waiters were kinda confused or what, one bought us our soup then another one took it right away, then they walker around all the tables to device where the soup should go... and after a few minutes when we got our soup, which was cold (and I would not call that goulash soup at all). Then we got a langosh, which was kinda ok, but before we finished it, they served us our pancakes, which were cold as well when we hot to eat them. They also did not bring any utensils to dát the pancakes with, so we had to use either the spoon from the soup or the fork from the heavily garlicked langosh. Not cool at all. We also waited for quite some time to pay (which was pretty expensive compared to other places there).

The worst restaurant in Budapest The ordered hot chicken was so cold the juice had congealed into jelly. When we complained, they said sorry, we asked for this dish only to be remove from the bill. It was not eaten! They refused. We asked to speak to the manager, was told the manager was not in, only to find the waiter was the in fact manger and owner. I refused to pay for the uneaten, uncooked chicken, so they threatened to call the police. Happy to wait for the police but they never arrived. It's a restaurant that wants tourist customers through the door but never wants to see them again. It's what's known as tourist trap. Many other customers leaving unhappy while we were there.

Do not recommend eating here.

When we arrived, we were sat at a corner table. Perhaps it was because we were tucked away, but it took well over an hour for our food to come, only after we got up from our table to ask when (or if) we should expect it to arrive. The restaurant was only half full, so it wasn’t like they were insanely busy. When the food did come, you would expect that the hour of prep would mean it would be hot. We were met with four plates of lukewarm beef stew instead. The fifth plate we ordered, goulash, was served much earlier in the meal. We may not be goulash experts, but I would call that soup with beef rather than goulash. Again, this item was not hot. When we finished and went to pay, we were continually told to wait just a bit longer as the staff rushed around the restaurant trying to appease guests.

Overall, the restaurant is dirty; the menus were covered in grime, my place setting had a dirty napkin, and the bathrooms were in desperate need of a restock of the essentials. Our corner table was absolutely freezing (we all had coats and hats on indoors). For a while, the lights over our table went out. When the lights eventually came back on, it was only to shed light on the fact that our table did not have any food on it. The bathroom does not have locking doors.

In the end, I’d consider a different restaurant. The staff told us after we paid that there had been a “catastrophe” today. It would have been better if they had just turned us away at the door rather than have us sit through the two hour affair that...

Please never, ever come to this place. From start to finish, the experience was a complete disaster. The so-called “steak” was stone cold, dry, and covered in a thick layer of disgusting spices that made it nearly impossible to eat. The goulash soup was practically inedible — so salty it burned, with barely anything in it. And the so-called “pork knuckle” wasn’t even a pork knuckle at all — it was just a plate of fries with a few sad pieces of pork thrown on top. Nothing resembled what was promised on the menu. Honestly, the whole thing felt like a scam.

The service was unbelievably bad. We waited an unreasonably long time for both drinks and food, and when we finally asked for something as simple as the bill, the waitress rolled her eyes at us as if we were a bother. We also asked three different staff members for ketchup, and despite repeated requests, it never arrived. The staff were rude, inattentive, and completely unprofessional.

When the bill finally came, it was even worse — the prices were wrong, inflating the total, and on top of that, we were charged a massive service fee for service that didn’t exist. This place doesn’t care about food quality, accuracy, or customers in any way. It’s a complete rip-off from start to finish.

In short, this restaurant is a scam disguised as dining. Terrible food, terrible service, and outrageous charges — save yourself the time, money, and frustration, and go...
