Don't stay at this hotel! We stayed at Di Verdi Imperial Hotel for 4 days and 3 nights during the Hungarian F1 weekend, and it was horrible. Our group had 4 people, 3 rooms and all of our rooms were bad. There was dirt everywhere, the showers looked like they weren't cleaned, the walls of the rooms were dirty, and they got these random holes and scratches. The toilets were off the floor and moving, and the faucet was off in one of our rooms. My room had a body towel that was dirty, so I had to use a hand towel whenever I showered. But the worst part about the rooms was the smell. All of our rooms smelled like a mix of mold and sewage water. The hotel had most likely tried to cover the smell by using really strong detergent and putting the aircon on full blast. Even after two people of our group changed their room, the smell was still there. I personally kept the balcony door open during the whole stay, and the smell never left the room, and I woke up with my throat hurting. There were also other unprofessional things about the hotel. During our 3 night stay, they never changed our towels or sheets, even though there was a cart full of them in the elevator lobby. Receptionist were usually playing on their phones, and they never paid attention to anyone. There were also random people sleeping in the lobby during the day and random kids who were there every day running around the hotel. In addition, if you sat in the lobby waiting for a taxi, you could hear every single time someone flushed the toilet. So I have to say, I do not recommend this hotel to anyone, and it is definitely not a 4-star hotel. This is by far the most disgusting place I've stayed at. And it ruined the mood of the city before we even got a chance to enjoy it.

We were satisfied and happy to visit Di Verdi Imperial hotel. Our family room were in 6th floor, it was clean and has 2 bedrooms. Both bedrooms were oriented into atrium - we expected quiet place and we got it (With 1 exception I will describe lately in my review). Hotel with all services that you expect from 4* hotel. Breakfast is from 7 to 10 and place were situated in second hotel "Verdi Grand hotel". Too close to this hotel (20 meters far from di Verdi Imperial hotel). From my point of view, it was situated in the hotel complex = no problem. There was a problem during the last night/early morning. Some woman has problem with some man and "talk" too loudly at 4 am in atrium. It was not problem of hotel or hotel crew of course, because atrium is free to go for anyone. PS: I met some people you don't want to meet, in my late evening trip for food night before. That people were loud, dirty, drug addicted, some of them were homeless too. I recommend to keep this information about possible contact with weird people, you can meet nearby, in your mind. Summary: I recommend visit Budapešť and stay this hotel for day or more.

One of the beautiful hotels in Budapest! Everything was really great 👍 the food, the service, and bed. We arrived a little bit late since we were travelling by car, the hotel was located near the main road where bus stops are located. It became its disadvantage/cons because we cannot park our car even for a minute or brief moment. The road was piled with buses and cars, and when we tried to park, a police car horn from our back, signaling we cannot park in that area. We had to turn right and check a residential parking which is tricky, but we ended up parking at the parking lot entrance with nobody/no staff to instruct us. I went to the reception to do the check in and the receptionist opened the gate.

Staff – The hotel staff gave me a good impression on the emails. However, when we were at the hotel. The staff are actually very unprofessional and rude. They were on the phone or playing with their mobiles all the time. So when we drove to the entrance of the parking garage, nobody would know that we were there. Is this 4 stars management standard ? I think I could say this is 2 stars management standard as the day before we stayed at a 3 stars hotel which had a bell at the parking entrance so we could call the reception to open the parking entrance for us.

I stayed on the 1st floor and I noticed this floor is not fully occupied. So I think the hotel should try to not to put any guests directly above each other as the sound proof was quite poor.

Facilities – Shower facilities are off the standard – Shower head holder is broken and the water pressure is very strong, so when I open the shower tap, the shower head instandly start to fly around in the shower tray, attacking everything from the roof to my face, which makes this moment and the rest of my stay a 1 star accommodation experience. The shower tray door is also broken. The shower tray design is just poor. It is merely 3 stars standard. So there will be a big deduction on score on facility due to this shower dissatisfaction in room 106. The quality of the shampoo is just not great.

The rooms are smaller than the description.

There are dining equipments in the room but not very clean. And there is no cleaning liquid !

Comfort – This is a new hotel. The smell in the room was ridiculous. They don’t have the measure to stop the smells from sewer to come into the room. Much of Budapest is in ruins ( very old empty buildings ) so was this hotel building before. Around the hotel there were construction works everywhere so you won’t expect any quietness during daytime.

The towels and shampoos are merely 3 stars standard.

Location – The area of full of old and ugly buildings. Construction everywhere. Difficult to reach the hotel by car as the shortest path to hotel on GPS...

I want to leave an extremely negative review of the hotel. To say that I am shocked is to say nothing. This is the first time I have had such a terrible experience. I chose this hotel because of the location. The hotel is 4 stars. So the service should match it. I am not talking about the rooms and their quality. But the staff and their attitude are just awful!!!! The situation happened on the night of August 2nd to 3rd. There was a man in a dark shirt and trousers at the reception, he looked decent and was friendly at the beginning of the conversation. I asked to open the bar, since this is a 4* hotel and it is not normal when I cannot buy anything at night. After a short conversation at the bar, he did not like something, he started yelling, and went off somewhere. Then when I approached him to find out the situation, he started gesticulating, pointing his fingers at the girl, and yelling like he was out of his mind. I asked his name and asked for the complaints book, to which he then told me to wait for the administrator. When checking out, I learned his name "Kali". I have a logical question, how do you hire inadequate people who can't control their emotions and who can't even answer for their actions and just try to get away from the situation. When the hotel is 4*, please make it so that the staff is also friendly. I really liked the girl at the reception and the other guy and they were very friendly to me. Never come and don't stay at this hotel if you don't want to be pointed at...
