Trattoria Serafina — Restaurant in Budapest

I can't really recommend this place unfortunately. The atmosphere is quite nice, but two out of the four meals we had were unpleasant, the other two were okay—not a particularly good ratio. I ordered the "tomato risotto with giant shrimp" for two reasons. The menu said that it has dried tomatoes, which I love, and the waiter said that this is their risotto with the most protein in it. What I ended up getting had a single larger piece of shrimp, approximately 40 grams—I can't imagine how much protein their other seafood risotto contains. I also did not notice any dried tomatoes in it, however, the whole thing tasted of canned tomatoes. Neither the ingredients nor the preparation justified the 6250 HUF price (excluding service fee). To be fair, at least the texture of the rice was pleasant. Most waitstaff were not particularly hospitable, some were. I did not raise my issues on the spot to avoid ruining our double date and because neither of these issues seemed like one-time accidents. Tulajdonképpen a Négy muskétás felé igyekeztem a Bikás parkon át, régen voltam náluk, talán itt lett volna az ideje. Nyilván jó emlék és azért. De a teniszpályák mellett mentem ki a parkot átszelő főútra, és a nagy felfújt gumisátor mellett, ahol a labdák pufogtak, ott volt ez a létesítmény. Első ránézésre olyan sporttal kapcsolatos kiegészítő dolog lehet, de második ránézésre már nem. Ez egy étterem, legalábbis ez a része, és nem is néz ki rosszul. Persze, ránézésre pizzéria, az meg annyira nem vonz. Ezért talán percekig ácsorogtam tanácstalanul kint, nézve az étlapot, meg akarva is, meg nem is. . . aztán egy pizza elfér bennem is alapon kitaláltam valami sonkás-gombást, és nyomás be. Jól tettem. Kellemes a belső tér, bizony megvan a megfelelő hangulat is, most már inkább karácsonyra hajaz mindenhol minden, itt is. A fogadtatás barátságos, remek, az asztal is nagyon jó, rájöttem hogy az étlapon nem csak pizzák vannak, szóval raviolis húsleves lett ebből, majd brassói sertésszűz. Ide látható a felsőközéposztály hétköznap déltájt ráérő, teniszezgető tagjai járnak, nem túl előkelő, de azért eléggé kiemelkedik a lakótelep, olykor proletár étkezdéi közül. A park területén vagy ha itt eszel, a zöldből elorzott részen. A leves első kortyra nem volt az, amit vártam, inkább volt zöldségleves, mint húsleves, de a tésztába csomagolt húsocskák megadták a módját. Egyre ehetőbb volt. És a második fogásra is nagy örömmel vetettem rá magam, igazán jóízű volt a brassói is. Aztán megelégedtem egy mangós limonádéval, kint sütött a koratéli nap, szépen szűrődtem be a sugarai az ablakokon, nagyon jó étterem ez, igazi tévedés lett volna nem benézni. A party of 5; we went there based on recommendation. Pizza is good, I found the sauce really tasty. Cezar salad with giant shrimps is a tiny portion, so don’t order it, if you want a heartier salad. But it was delicious. Only 4 shrimps comes with the salad. We tried all 3 desserts, Túrógombóc and the Madártej are also smaller portions, but really good. Tiramisu looked like a good portion.
