The food was really good, fresh, hot and tasty, we loved it. Unfortunately this is pretty much all the good things I can say about the place. Not sure on the customs, whether we need to wait to be seated or just go ahead and sit down, we choose to stay at the entrance. 3 waiters kept walking past us and the person behind the bar kept looking, none of them asked even once what we wanted. So just went ahead and sat down. We waited 20 minutes for drinks and they arrived after the food was brought out. It was quite a hot day, the place has no air con, so I finished the drink quickly. Not a single time I was asked if I wanted another one. The waiters were ok, but not overly friendly, not a smile, nothing. One of the most, if not the only iconic pubs of Sopron. It has an amazing fleur, absolutely nice experiment ti be in a cellar on the Main Square. The staff is nice, friendly, fast, and helpful. The food, I would say, average, they serve the same meal, as i guess 40 years ago. I like it, there are some specialities, what you can't really get anywhere else. Sometimes, there are some issues, rice is not so fresh, or you can taste the goulash, that it is quite old. These are small issues, I only mention it, because the food is definitely not cheap. We had Palatschinken/ pancakes with chestnut and blueberries. The pancakes themselves were pretty good, not too greasy and fluffy. Chestnut cream inside was nice, however I was expecting fresh blueberries (as "blueberries " were mentioned in the Menu) and not jam. Was still pretty good, big portion size and price was fine too for the area. Coffee was ok, there are better ones for sure though.
