MADURAI BUN PAROTTA — Restaurant in Andaman and Nicobar Islands

I recently had the pleasure of dining at the Madurai Bun Parotta shop in Port Blair, and I must say, it truly replicates the authentic taste of Madurai's cuisine.

From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with warm hospitality that immediately made me feel at home. The menu offered a delightful array of traditional Madurai dishes, but it was the Bun Parotta that stole the show.

The Bun Parotta was cooked to perfection, with layers that were flaky and buttery, just like they do it in Madurai. The accompanying side dishes, from the spicy creamy vegetarian kurma, were all bursting with flavors that transported me back to the streets of Madurai.

What impressed me most was the attention to detail in replicating the authentic taste. It's clear that the chefs at Madurai Bun Parotta shop are passionate about preserving the essence of Madurai's culinary Heritage.

The food you get is the best..... Authentic madurai food, if u got during lunch time before 1 pm then you can get their best mutton biriyani, sometimes it'll get over by 1 pm so if you want to try their mutton biriyani go a bit early, then their famous bun porotta is just amazing, it's fluffy and soft and the flavour is too good, they provide you with some chicken curry (kolambe) and veg kuruma and its really good , then u can try their chicken and mutton dishes everything is really great and their service is also really good. If it's really hot outside even the shop gets a bit warm on the inside so during lunch time if it's crowded then it'll be really warm inside. The place has lost its charm. We went with lot of expectations on a Saturday night and was surprised to see that we were the only one at the restaurant. Tried - Bun porotta, Chettinad Chicken, Curry Dosa.

Bun porotta- was ok, came with free veg and chicken gravy.

Chettinad Chicken- it was fried chilli chicken pieces in some gravy, they should not sell it as Chettinad Chicken.

Curry dosa- not good preparation. Dried chicken pieces were put in it. The item is not mentioned in their menu card. Price 220/- and not at all worth it.
