Ocean Prime Multicuisine Restaurant — Restaurant in Andaman and Nicobar Islands

We stayed in Coral reef restaurant attached to this restaurant for 2 days and we're compelled to have food from here including breakfast and it was a terrible experience in terms of the food. I've no clue how people have given such a high rating for this restaurant, it's probably for their services which was excellent I must say. Details of my review are broken down here.

1. Service - Excellent. All people who are serving in the restaurant were excellent, they were kind, welcoming and had a highly motivated attitude.
2. Atmosphere- The ambience was ok,neatly maintained, nothing great about it.
3. Candle light dinner - We opted for a candle light dinner on one of the nights and again thr service provided was top notch. The guy who arranged everything and handled the entire night was highly professional and managed everything in a splendid way. Kudos to that. But again,the food was horrible. For the kind of money they take, it is just daylight looting. The fish wasn't fresh, all gravies were over powering, the butter tasted old, the paneer tasted stale and I can just go on and on about it. While the experience was good, we were highly disappointed with thr food.
4. Complimentary breakfast and restaurant dining- Again a pathetic and horrible experience. The quality of food is so bad that all of us were down with stomach issues during the 2 days of our stay. We had to feed our son just rice and curd and even that was of poor quality- the rice was undercooked and the curd had such a weird smell and taste. We also relied on just bread and eggs for other foods since all other food were not good at all. And they charge really on the higher side fir such poor quality food. The fish they serve is frozen not fresh at all and it is nothing close to their name- Ocean Prime! The south Indian items served on Complimentary breakfast was just ridiculous, we have no clue how a chef can make something simple in such a bad way. Again, I can go on and on about the issues coz I couldn't find one food impressive except the French fries( which was excellent bdw).

To the management- you guys need to really look into the quality of items being served and the skills...

I recently visited Havelock Island in the Andamans and had the pleasure of experiencing Ocean Prime Restaurant at Coral Reef Resort. I had to plan a surprise birthday celebration for my daughter, and being on such an isolated island, I was concerned about how everything would come together. However, thanks to the exceptional staff at Coral Reef, the experience was nothing short of magical.I would like to extend my deepest gratitude to Mr. Madhusudhan, who went above and beyond in arranging everything for us. His efforts made the occasion truly special. More than just the food, which was excellent, it was the courtesy and attentiveness of the staff that made the biggest impression on us.A special mention also goes to Bikram and his bar team, who crafted lovely cocktails and provided excellent service.
