Located at Suryabagh, this restaurant is located within the premises of legendary Daspalla Hotel near Jagdamba junction. Besides Dakshin, there are other collocated restaurants also there like Vaisakhi, Dimple and Dharani. There are ample parking spaces available. This restaurant is predominantly a non-veg one with few veg options in the menu. Staffs are very courteous, helpful and professional. Ambience brings up a beautiful amalgamation of old city flavours with new developments. We had non-veg thali and veg thali. Thalis cannot be shared. Coming to food, I must say it didn’t live up to the expectations. There is not a single preparation which was able to leave an impression on taste buds. Prawn and fish dishes also felt bland. Service: Unfortunately, the service left much to be desired. We had to wait for over an hour, and the management of the crowd was quite chaotic. Some customers were seated quickly, while others, including us, had to wait much longer, which was frustrating.
