I have lived in Vizag for 15 years until 2018. This place used to be a regular for me and my family for the scrumptious food and the amazing service it always had to offer.

Oh how the mighty fall!! I went back in August after five long years and visited Dimple restaurant for their lunch buffet on a weekday.

I was very excited to be back after all these years and looked forward to the same if not a better experience. Alas! It was not meant to be.

The lunch buffet is priced at 729+taxes and had only one non veg starter and 2 veg starters. That was the first red flag!

They had butter milk and a canned juice, both of which tasted below average. The chicken noodle soup neither had any noodles or chicken chunks. Atleast I couldn't find any.

None of the items in the main course, save the butter roti tingled my taste buds. The desserts were average but fared better when compared to the below average items I had before them.

With all the anticipation with which I came, I was now trying my best to finish off as soon as possible and get out of there.

I saw a couple of old timer staff who were really good with their service. There were many managers and none of them even had a smile on their face.

The new service staff looked to be from the northern parts of the country and did not know English, Hindi or any other language properly. God knows who recruited them!!

I cannot say about the state of affairs of the other two restaurants here but going by the experience I had in Dimple and my long association with daspalla while I was in Vizag, it is safe to say that I will not be coming back here ever again. Great place for buffet lovers. Food and service is of five star level. Ambience and seating arrangement of the restaurant is of another level. Quality and taste of the food is mind blowing, I went to many hotels and restaurants for buffet but this one is number 1 of all.

The best thing is price is very low for buffet lunch in this city. Food tasted super soft with perfect spices and cooked to utmost perfection. The no of visitors are also quite high. So better go...
