Vaisakhi — Restaurant in Andhra Pradesh

This is the very first time we have gone out to dine at Daspalla Vaisakhi. We had high expectations all along. The service quality was of poor standard especially the person taking orders neglected and ignored as if we weren’t present and invisible. Creating an uninviting and disengaging dine in experience. He was attending others but wouldn’t come to our table to place an order for our food when we were waiting for a long time. We ordered sweet corn soup 🌽 as an appetiser generally soup should be brought first then followed slowly by the starters and mains but the soup 🍜 was brought to our table after such a long time of waiting saying it will be served with started where we ordered golden crispy baby corn. People who came in earlier and later to dine in were served meals earlier and surprisingly we weren’t after such a long time. Food was substandard. Sweet corn 🌽 soup, golden fried baby corn and Veg Hakka noodles was so bland had no flavour and no seasoning. We specifically ordered Veg Hakka noodles 🍜 and the noodles given after all tasted like Semiya upma we regularly make home. As a matter of fact Semiya upma we regularly make at home has a lot more flavour, seasoning at least and taste when homemade. Veg Hakka noodles should be thick and give you the noodle feeling. DONT BOTHER GOING HERE! We had gone for dinner today for all the publicity we have been hearing on Daspalla hotel. The staff there was the most unbothered about anything from start to finish. Food arrived late, and even after asking multiple waiters including the manager for a bill, they all acknowledged but none bothered right after until we actually had to get up and go to their counter and chase the people around to have the payment done after waiting to be heard for 20mins!! RIDICULOUS!!! The waiter if right next to you doing something on the next table and you request for something, they will either ignore you or say ok and forget the next moment or would pass on to another waiter who would then pass to another and so on but the request will never be accepted. There’s a certain decency the staff need to maintain given how the public knows about the popularity of this place. However, the continued poor reviews from other people below also show there is no improvement whatsoever. Just getting worse by the day. If you are looking for good south Indian meal, Daspalla can be the choice. Food taste is average to good. Items are bit disappointing as you will get soup, Indian bread, Thali and Icream as part of the menu. However, the tastes are not upto the mark. I felt there is a deterioration in quality over a period (compared to pre-covid). Staff are not customer focused. Ambience is very nice and calm in Visakhi restaurant.

Sweets which are available in the cellar must be tried. Lunch specials Thali is 315+ tax, baby meal is 165+tax.
