I can say, the worst experience ever at any restaurant in my entire life!! Staff - Unmannered, Unprofessional & Untrained Management - Careless & Arrogant Hospitality - 0/10 Service - 0/10 Food - 7/10 Cleanliness & Hygiene - 4/10 Overall experience - 1/10 (That too because of only food)
When a unknown is made to sit on the table assigned to you, should you be consulted? A. Yes, but unfortunately their team doesn't care to ask!
Irrespective of when the food be served, don't you ask a guest for what they want or provide with menu? A. You need to ask for it multiple times to get the menu here!
Don't you ask if someone doesn't want something or if they want limited quantity of something to avoid wastage of food? A. Here they don't care! They say, eat if you want, else we will anyhow throw in our dustbin so why do you care! They seem to be following the moto, Eat unlimited! Waste Unlimited!!
How would you feel if you ask for a spoon and the waiter just picks up a used spoon from their counter and washes it at the general handwash area and serves the eating side of the spoon with his hand? A. Disgusted yet? I was deeply moved by this ungrateful gesture of this man!!
Will you prefer to take your women to a place where you get to see the manager putting his hands in the front pocket of the kitchen gown of his waitress to check if she's hiding something in it, in Public!? A. I would fear myself to visit such a place again in my entire life.
Added to all this, if you just get served with the bill even before you finish your meal, how would it feel?
Cherry on cake would be if you just consult the cashier (seemed more like the owner of the place), about such things being illegitimate and he says we know how to run a place, you please leave right away!!
Trust me, it's not just food but an experience we seek to go to a place outside our home and if that sucks. It ruins your entire day, might as well the next upcoming week or even month!! WOULD RECOMMEND NOT TO VISIT SUCH A RESTAURANT PLEASE!!! (in...
Read moreHotel Chutneys is a well-known vegetarian restaurant, popular for its South Indian tiffin items and variety of chutneys. While the food quality is generally good, the dining experience can be affected by the heavy crowd, especially on weekdays.
One of the main concerns at Hotel Chutneys is the waiting time. Due to its popularity, the restaurant is often packed, leading to delays in getting a table. Even after being seated, service can be slow, particularly during peak hours. Customers have reported that tiffin and other vegetarian dishes take longer than expected to arrive, primarily because of the high demand and insufficient staff to handle the rush efficiently.
Another drawback is the parking situation, especially for four-wheelers. The restaurant does not have sufficient parking space, making it difficult for customers to find a convenient spot. This is particularly problematic during peak hours, as vehicles often get stuck in congested areas around the restaurant. Improved parking facilities or better management of available space would significantly enhance the overall experience.
However, the food itself is worth the wait. The dosas, idlis, and vadas are well-prepared, with a variety of chutneys and sambar enhancing the flavors. The restaurant maintains a consistent taste, which keeps customers coming back despite the long waiting time. The pricing is reasonable for the portion size and quality, making it a good value for money.
One major improvement required is the staffing, especially on weekdays when the crowd is unexpectedly high. More staff would help in reducing the waiting time and improving the overall dining experience. A faster service would make the restaurant even more appealing to its loyal customers.
In conclusion, Hotel Chutneys serves delicious vegetarian food at a fair price, but the crowd, long waiting time, and poor parking for four-wheelers can be frustrating. Increasing staff and improving parking arrangements would make the experience much better...

If you're looking for a fantastic tiffin experience in Visakhapatnam, look no further than Chutneys! This restaurant quickly became my go-to spot for delicious South Indian breakfasts and snacks, and I'm sure it will become yours too.
Ambiance and Service:
Chutneys boasts a warm and inviting ambiance. The décor is simple yet elegant, with comfortable seating and plenty of natural light. The staff is friendly and attentive, ensuring you have a pleasant dining experience from start to finish.
Food:
Oh, the food! Chutneys truly shines in the culinary department. I had the pleasure of trying their poori masala, ghee idli, onion rava, and tomato rice, and each dish was absolutely perfect. The poori was fluffy and golden, the masala perfectly spiced, the ghee idli soft and flavorful, the onion rava crispy and aromatic, and the tomato rice tangy and satisfying.
What truly sets Chutneys apart is their wide variety of chutneys. They have something for everyone, from the classic coconut chutney to more adventurous options like mint chutney and peanut chutney. I loved trying them all and pairing them with my different dishes.
Price:
Chutneys is on the slightly higher end for tiffin restaurants, but the quality of the food and the overall experience definitely justifies the price. You're paying for fresh, flavorful ingredients, skilled preparation, and a delightful ambiance.
Overall:
I highly recommend Chutneys to anyone looking for a top-notch tiffin experience in Visakhapatnam. The food is incredible, the ambiance is warm and inviting, and the service is excellent. Just be prepared to pay a little bit more for...
