Barista - Guwahati — Restaurant in Assam

Sorry I m writing to express my dissatisfaction with my recent visit to barista coffee cafe in city centre mall guwahati,I have always been a loyal customer but my experience on 24 jan 2025 was far from satisfactory, and I feel compelled to bring it to your attention.

1.Poor Customer Service I went their for hazelnut coffee one of the staff is some how rude to me.lets come to quality as I said I asked for hazelnut coffee he gave me normal cappuccino I took a sip n told them it's a normal cappuccino but the staff is like it can't be cappuccino I made hazelnut coffee, I told the staff to taste the coffee so that he can understand I was right.

Just few points- I drink irish hazelnut so I know the taste of normal cappuccino n a irish hazelnut.

This experience did not meet the standards I associate with Barista Coffee Cafe, and it has left me disappointed.

I kindly request you to address these issues promptly and ensure they are not repeated in the future. I would appreciate a follow-up on the actions taken to improve your service quality and customer experience.

I had ordered an espresso double shot initially and made the payment but then when I wanted to change from double to single shot, the staff named Jintu, said that it’s not possible and the balance amount cannot be refunded, to which I told him to atleast give me some other product in exchange of the balance amount, and he denied for that too.. and when I started asking him the reason for not exchanging anything to it or making me speak to some other senior person who can help, he started arguing saying that he himself is the senior one and he has been working there since last 7 years.. Well, I can only say that barista city centre,has lost one of its regular customers for such oversmart and unprofessional staff whereas, in the other outlets of barista, like in six mile which has got some trained and well mannered staffs who are very polite and professional in their work and while dealing with their customers.. I pity on the owner of barista city centre who keeps such unprofessional and untrained staffs in such a senior position who doesn’t even know how to handle customer...

Didn't ever planned to write a long review for Barista Coffe Guwahati. Its been 3 years since after the reopening after the pandemic, I visit 20 out of 30 evenings of a month to this coffee shop. Its a chic place to visit, and spend some leisurely time with a cup of fresh brewed coffee or tea.

About the staff, they are professional, decent, soft spoken and hospitable. With their behaviour they have develop a close bond with most of the frequent visitors. Jintu Nath is a champ brewer. He and the team ensures that the best is served. About the food,I tasted in all 3 outlets of Barista in the city but, the food tastes best in this cafe only (according to my tastebuds). The Manager Brojen will frequently come forward take feedback of the items served and act accoridingly if a negative feedback is provided to ensure that the authentic taste is placed right back to the place in the next visit.
