I have been introduced to the Korean flavours extremely recently and ever since I have tasted Korean cuisine, I am absolutely flattered and amazed. How could the cuisine be so full of taste yet so comforting.

Although, my very first experience of Korean cuisine was in Pune at a Korean restaurant which was run by Koreans living in India, after coming back to Guwahati, I was craving the same. All of my acquaintances who already like Korean cuisine insisted that I try Kori’s in Gauhati. And I recently had the privilege of visiting there with my friend and I was amazed.

Not only were the staff extremely welcoming, I got a proper parking under the flyover. The first thing that I noticed was the beautiful lights all around that made the place feel so cosy and comfortable. We decided to sit on the couch which already had loads of soft toys which were not only good to cuddle but to click photos as well.

We ordered my favourite Tteokbokki and Gimbap. And to my taste, I loved the overall flavours at as it was suited to my taste. I found it a little more flavourful than the ones I tried in Pune. Absolutely loved the Peach Ice Tea.

I would also not forget to mention that they provide stainless steel cutlery and chopsticks which was a pleasant surprise.

Another thing that I wish to mention is that the staff was extremely well-dressed and very courteous. They helped us with the menu and the bill and also the females wore traditional Korean formal dresses.

The best thing that I really liked about the place was that there was a little photo booth installation were you could get a selfie clicked which would be printed onto the thermal paper which, if you choose, could be pinned to the cafe wall.

I would definitely recommend this place, and I hope that the photos would do justice...

If you are bored of regular fast foods and Indian dishes and tend to try something different, then Kori's is for you. They give you a unique experience of Korean dishes. I went there and ordered some Kimbap and cheese Tteokbokki. To give you an idea about these dishes, kimbap is a combination of rice, egg, and a few veggies all wrapped around a seaweed, usually forming a round cylindrical shape, and in Tteokbokki rice cakes in a long cylindrical shape ( like sausage) are dipped in a Special Sauce.

And now if I talk about the taste, kimbap was nothing special and overall I didn't like it. On the other hand, Cheese Tteokbokki was tasty, especially the sauce in which the rice cakes were dipped. It was pretty impressive.

Later after a month, I also ordered a plate of Chicken Ramen, in simple words, this is what we commonly call noodles. But believe me, this is nothing like the mortal noodles we get in every store, it tasted something different, it tasted like the noodles were made of sweet potato ( don't take it as a fact, just a wild guess 😅).

Overall, I want to conclude that Kori's serve you an entirely different food experience and that's the beauty of this restaurant. You just can't guess, whether these dishes will give you the pleasure of a delicious meal by just reading reviews. This is the restaurant which you need to try out yourself, as different people have different tastes. At last, I would only recommend this place to someone who likes enjoying new...
