Rang de Basanti Urban Dhaba..... It's one of the finest restaurant chains in India. The newly opened ,completely Fabulous fine dine restaurant that as an unique taste of India , it's cities , taste of north India and it's tastes... Making it well from Kashmir to Kanyakumari ... Lovely dishes with some divine names. It's located at Christian basti, G.S Road just opposite Shohum shoppee... Easily accessible by all means of public transport. It's one of the busiest streets in guwahati.... It's made out pretty well, great shoutouts to the lovely ambience and atmosphere . The vibes of desi fusion touch.. The place is very spacious and the infrastructure in quite innovative and unique . As I have been to rang de Basanti , located at delhi Hauzkhas village and trust me this place is made exactly same as that, hospitality is superb , I could the compare the taste and flavours of the both the places . It was totally exact same.. Usually chain restaurants also have different tastes in different cities but Rang de Basanti urban dhaba was a total bliss indeed. I was there today with few of my other friends for a Saturday weekend dinner and we ordered a hell loads of food... The service and staff ? Coming to hospitality it was 5/5 because as we enter the place was totally loved plus the greeting was nice, gentle polite guys .. I wanted to mention Gaurav and Arup or anup I am confuse but these guys were too good in their work. These boys just made our day , like they were very interactive , innocently asking about the experiences with the taste of the food, what to have and what not to have ... they recommended their signature dishes And on a round over the hospitality is awesome. The service was too fast like proper on time. Coming to taste , presentation and quality of food ...... Rang de Basanti serves you deliciously great North Indian food with a twist of their own touch making it quite innovative ... We had the chicken pani puri ( bharwan golgappe) which was great in taste and the presentation was indeed fantastic ... Then, we had the Nachos with mutton keema which was fantastic , like the keema was too good ! The lassi and benta soda was nice refreshing drinks Later for the main course we had tried the missi roti and the Pudina Paratha which was worth trying , stupendous ! That was well accompanied with methi chicken keema and the cream chicken from ganta Ghar Ludhiana ... Daal makhani was divine.. one can surely enjoy a soulful main course meal with friends or family here... The quality and quantity of food is fantabulous , it's perfect great according to the prices. Dessert stories are most important when it comes to a proper fine dinning... We had the tempting Kheer and phirni which was toothsome ... The bhayankar Mitha pan is a must try if you are here, like its something not to miss... Gulam Jamun Fudge is also undoubtedly Marvelous and yummmy. Saturday was done right and perfect weekend vibes at this lovely place. I personally thank Rang De Basanti for this lovely dine in... You guys are great and welcome to our City Guwahati, Assam.. The name Attracted us and then when we saw the reviews we definitely thought of trying this amazing restaurant. This is my comprehensive review of this cool restaurant.(First visit Review)

1. Location: This restaurant is very conveniently located on the GS road where all the fun things are located in Guwahati. It is on the first floor you can miss it in the night as i is on a highway but keep you eyes on your google maps you will easily and conveniently reach the place.
2. Menu: They are serving Punjabi cuisine as pretty clear by the name but there menu is very innovative and fun to read they have created funny puns with the names of the dishes we really took the time and fun and a good laugh while reading the menu it is really a peace of the art.
3. Ambiance and cleanliness: The world they have created inside the restaurant cannot be explained in words. The place is amazingly designed with each and every expect kept in mind, there is place for kids on the table itself where they can have fun and eat there dinner, you get to seat on the table bearing milestones to different places in India etc. overall it is very well thought off and well maintained.
4. Food: The food is just amazing all of there dishes which we tried were really amazing (We tried a lot) there sodas, Starters, Main course everything was cooked to perfection and really felt like you were having your dinner in Punjab rather than in north east. My compliments to the chef for making such amazing combinations of dishes.
5. Service: The Backbone of a Restaurant is there service and food, and I can say that the service they are providing at this restaurant is like an unbreakable backbone. The people are very courteous, always smiling and there food service is quick and efficient. They are always on there toes and will make your evening a memorable one even during rush hours. 6)Overall: It was really a really wonderful experience being at this place and will surely visit whenever next time I am...

This was my second visit to this place. My first visit was around 4 yrs back. Order: Malai chicken tikka,Kolkata chicken bharta,Kadhai Chicken,Chicken pakora,Rumali roti,Steamed rice,Smirnoff. The Good :- *Atmosphere/Interior: The designing team has done a good job. Atmosphere is casual but may be not romantic. *Quality: As mentioned above the quality of the food hasn’t changed. It’s still good, hygienic and served well. *Serving time/Service :15-20 mins. That day there was quite a rush and restaurant seemed almost full. But still they managed to serve within 20 mins which is commendable. *Interaction: Waiter/waitress were definitely attentive and polite. *Parking is available. *Liquor is available. The Bad: ** Service Charge: 10% service charge is way too much. And the funny thing is you have to pay GST on the service charge. I like to mention here that this is only my personal view. *Quality: Quality is good but not excellent. With the price you are paying you definitely expect much better. One waiter served me chicken pakora (which I didn’t want to order) informing that it was restaurant special. Hah!! ….it was dry and bland. Quantity: Be prepared to order an extra plate as quantity is less than what is expected. My take: You can try once but there are many better options available,especially with the price...
