7 Plates is a well-known restaurant in the Kalyan Nagar area that serves authentic Mughlai food. Having heard a lot of positive reviews from friends, I decided to visit this restaurant during Eid-Ul-Fitr. However, my experience this time was not up to the mark.
The first thing that caught my attention was the long waiting time for the orders to arrive. It took almost an hour for the food to arrive, which was quite disappointing. Even after placing repeated requests with the staff, they were not able to give us any satisfactory answer regarding the delay in the service.
When the food finally arrived, I was quite disappointed with the quality. The kebabs were not fresh and lacked the authentic Mughlai taste that I was expecting. The biryani was also not up to the mark, and the spices were not well balanced, making it quite heavy to digest. The presentation of the food was also not very impressive, and it seemed like the restaurant was trying to cut corners in terms of the quality of the food.
Apart from the food, even the beverages were not up to the mark. The lime soda that we ordered was quite bad and tasted more like a diluted lemonade. It seemed like the restaurant was not focusing on the quality of the ingredients, and this was quite evident in the overall taste of the food and beverages.
All in all, my experience at 7 Plates during Eid-Ul-Fitr was quite disappointing. The long waiting time, along with the poor quality of food and beverages, was quite disappointing. I had visited this restaurant earlier and had rated it 3.7 out of 5, but after this recent visit, my rating has come down to 2.3. It is quite disappointing to see such a reputed restaurant not maintaining its quality standards.
The staff at the restaurant also did not seem to be very attentive and were not able to handle the rush of customers during the festive season. They were not able to provide any satisfactory answers regarding the delay in service or the poor quality of food and beverages.
In conclusion, while 7 Plates may have been a good restaurant earlier, my recent experience has left me quite disappointed. The long waiting time, poor quality of food and beverages, and unresponsive staff have led me to lower my rating significantly. I hope that the restaurant management takes note of these issues and takes the necessary steps to improve the quality of their food and service. Until then, I would not recommend 7 Plates to anyone looking for authentic Mughlai food in the...

Read moreVery poor service and sub standard quality of food. With all hopes expecting quality food for our hunger we reached here, it was our worst experience, captain took our order at 10.15pm, told him to serve as quickly as possible, but even after 40 mins no one turned back, while we reminded the captain again, he said it is delayed because of chicken biryani, told him to atleast serve other items, received after another 15 mins. Items chicken biryani, garlic naan, rumali and Hyderabadi chicken gravy. Hyderabadi Gravy (Suggested by Captain) - not sure if it was stale, but was very very sour, after informing they gave gravy without chicken, we had returned our plates after feeling the wierd taste, after complaining they bought something felt like kadai chicken. Chicken Biryani (suggested by captain) - road side dum biryani would have been much better with some nicely cooked chicken pieces, asked the captain to provide leg piece, he did not heed to our request, the chicken was half cooked and we were unable to chew, hence left half in the plate. Rumali - it was dried, hard and rough. not sure, but felt like yesterday's rumali was heated and given now, after informing changed that too, but felt the same again it was not fresh for sure. Butter Garlic Naan - by the time gravy could come naan was literally hard enough to chew. Kheer was very good. We felt it was not...
