A authentic vegetarian restaurants or outlets always fascinates us. When we came to know about Sikori (which means earthen pot or vessel) we were excited to try this place. Beautiful, conventional Rajasthani interiors just seized our attention at once! We had: -Sikori chukka chai -Cold rose milk -Moong Dal Vada -Pani puri -Raj kachori -Paneer pakoda -Sikori special thali -Dal bati churma -Chole bhature -Khaman dhokla -Bun tikki -Gujrati Dhokla and Khandvi -Rasmalai -Malpua rabadi -Rabdi faluda

We started with basic Sikori chukka chai with some Moong Dal Vada. The Vada was Crispy outside and soft on inside, you get the taste of coarsely grounded Jeera and dhaniya with every bite.

Then entered the Gujarati Khandvi and Khaman Dhokla. We bet it was love at first taste! The dhokla just melted in the mouth and Khandvi had a nice and smooth texture. We could not resist ourselves from emptying the plate.

We were assured that this place won't disappoint us! Even a regular bun tikki was tasting excellent. Then there was a course of fried items i.e Chole bature, Dal ki pudi, Paneer pakoda. Though they were fried, they were delicious and did absolute justice to our taste buds.

Next we moved to the Chats section and ordered for a Raj Kachori. Kachori stuffed with Potatoes, Channa, onions, tomatoes, masalas and over loaded with curd just blew our mind. It was flavorful, attractive and pleasing. One of the best chats which we have had consisting of curd.

How can anyone miss on the Gol Gappas/ Pani-Puri? They have two types of Puri- Atta (All purpose flour) and Sooji (Semolina) served with 2 different paani- Khatta and Meetha (Tangy and sweet). The Puri were served in packets keeping in mind the hygiene and cleanliness! This was something new yet good that we observed.

We were served with a Sikori Thali, which had 3 curries (Paneer, Dal Makhani and mixed Veg), 2 types of Indian bread (Tandoori Roti and Laccha paratha), Pulav, Boondi raita and a Gulab Jamun. What else can you ask for? It was a complete meal with every bite being savoured.

Last but not the least the desserts or sweets. We would say Malpua and Rabdi tops the list, backed by Rasmalai and Rabdi Falooda. The desserts were finished by blink of an eye! We wanted to try more of their special sweets but our tummies were too jammed to try anything else.

We shall surely visit them again to savour more of their dishes and to treat ourselves!

Do visit this place and let us know your thoughts and feedbacks! Cheers!!...

An Oasis for vegetarians at Kalyan Nagar serving some of the best chats, breakfast and lunch. They also do serve beverages and desserts too...

The place from outside resembles a sweet meat shop but once you enter inside the place, you will be in awe with their vegetarian varieties of food they serve.

This place can accommodate around 50 pax at full capacity. The Service can be bit improved for at times you will be waiting for dishes to be served.

The ambience resembles a typical a typical Rajasthani style with lot of glitter and adequate lighting. The walls are designed with earthen lamps pasted to the walls.

Started the evening with a hot cup of Sikori chukka chai...perfect on taste.

Some of the Chats tried were-

1.Pani puri-one of the healthiest panipuri had till date. The puris were made in-house,packed in a cover(6 numbers) and served with Aloo with the Pani...Wow...Superb 2.Raj kachori- chef has done justice to the dish that you just start craving for more. 3.Paneer pakoda-a must try dish again..Paneer grated, coated with besan and deep fried. 4.Bun Tikki- bun cut into 2 halves,Tikki tawa fried with a coating of diced onions on top kept in the centre of the bun...Too good 5.Khaman Dhokla-easily one of the best have ever tried so far...and the owner takes pride in serving us.

The Main Course

1.Sikori special thali- a mix of Roti and Lachha Parota served with 3 vegetable side dishes, jeera rice, papad and a Jamun...absolute heaven on earth and filling too. 2.Chole bhature-again a show stopper and a must try.

The Desserts tried were- 1.Rasmalai 2.Malpua rabadi 3.Rabdi faluda

All the desserts were absolutely tasty in their own league and did justice to the chefs passion.

A evening for 2 would cost around Rs 500-600/-.Both Cards and Cash is accepted.

They also have a stock of around 35-40 varieties of Sweets and Savoury and sell it by kilograms.

Restroom is clean and well maintained.

Parking for 2 wheelers available opposite to hotel and car parking bit of a challenge.

Kid friendly...

As of me,would definitely go back for more for the lip smacking food...

Found a cute little place serving some great authentic North Indian chats and food. Interiors of the place gives you the vibes of being in a Rajasthani enclave

Loved the ambience and its vibrant colours. Place can accommodate around 30 people.

We began our evening with Sikori chai served in a kullad which was one of best I have ever tried... must try.

Chats tried were-

• Pani puri- puri was well packed .Sweet and Katta pani were just awesome • Raj kachori- it was just perfect 👌 not too hard not to soft and delicious • Paneer pakoda- loved it • Bun Tikki- tikki was so crispy and bun was fresh. Perfectly complimenting each other. Highly recommended • Khaman Dhokla-one of the best tried so far. Loved it!!! It was so soft and chutney was so good

Main Course

• Sikori special thali- a mix of Roti and Lachha Parota served with 3 vegetable side dishes, jeera rice, papad which is just perfect for a vegetarian. Flavoursome and full of protein • Chole bhature- loved it,couldn’t have been more better

Desserts tried were-

• Rasmalai • Malpua rabadi • Rabdi faluda

Desserts were just delicious and my personal favourite is Rasmalai

My Ratings

• Food - 5/5 • Ambience- 5/5 • Service-5/5 • Value for Money-5/5
