Revisited after a Year: Some Improvements, but Still Missing That Original Flavor!
I decided to give this place another try after a year, hoping for some positive changes. I'm happy to say they’ve made some improvements – finally, the mayonnaise and cheese spread portions are on point, and no odd aftertaste this time! 🙌✨
However, I can’t help but miss the magic in their food from 2-3 years ago. The flavor just isn’t the same anymore. 😕
Update: They’ve bumped up the prices again this year. 💸 Also, they’ve opened a new counter upstairs, but heads up – you’ll still need to grab your bill from the main counter downstairs. 🧾👀
——- Visited again on September 8th, 2023, after a six-month hiatus with my family, hoping to relish the flavors we once loved. Unfortunately, we were quite disappointed as the taste had undergone a significant change. This time, none of us enjoyed it. The reason for our disappointment was that the only flavors we could discern were sweet mayonnaise, some chicken pieces, and other elements. Additionally, there were small red pieces on our rolls that had a sour (karwa) taste. After trying these, I couldn't help but feel that they had added an excessive amount of sweetness to the roll. While I understand that many people appreciate a touch of sweetness, it shouldn't overwhelm the entire roll. We were left wondering about the shift in your taste profile.
Visited on Feb 2023 Great place and super food taste. Crowd is very huge and need stand on row. It took me 1 hour get my turn.
Place open from 2pm and closes at 11pm.
There is 2 counter for que. First for Billing and second order preparation.
Every order they will prepare in front of you. No oily food, every thing fresh, Sometime I feel its not junk food😝 and super healthy😋.
They prepare all the roll in rumali roti..super know....
I have tried almost all kind of roll. Jumbo one is favorite. Warning if you have plan to eat other thing don't ❌order jumbo go with normal one.
——- In 2k25 Again they increase price by Rs30 and extra ketchup charge Rs5. Quantity i feel reduce too. Taste also not improved as we used to had in back.
From this new year 2k23 they have increased the price.
Get Parking is not easy job here. You need to park in roadside..or use you parking skill..to first make a space and park the vehicle.

I have some good memories associated with this place, and it's all thanks to their jumbo rolls. Great quantity at reasonable rates is what attracts everyone to this place. But the price of the rolls have increased by 30rs now. I personally love this place, but here's an unbiased review:
The place is always packed, and you'll have to stand in 2 lines (order line, food line) and spend at least 20 mins waiting in line. Worst case scenario, you spend over 40 mins waiting.
I know the place is an emotion and people love it, but I do have some concerns about hygiene. The roll assemblers do wear hairnets, but they don't use gloves, but that's kinda understandable as they assemble the rolls in seconds and using gloves might not be as efficient. And I'm assuming they wash their hands thoroughly before handling the food, but it is a little concerning. I'm only mentioning this as I know some people are really not okay with it.
The rolls are delicious, you have a lot of options to choose from. This is what's in a jumbo roll: Rumali Roti or lavash (I think), an unsettling amount of mayo, some french fries, the filling of your choice, green veggies, an omelette, 2 types of sauces, some cheese spread, and some more mayo! The crispy chicken is their best seller, the sheek, and keema rolls are good too. But the underrated one has to be the fish finger spl jumbo roll, it tastes like the crispy chicken, but it feels lighter, and a little more rich than the crispy chicken imo.
The rolls flavourful, but some might find it a little overwhelming. And tbh, I think their quality has degraded over the years. The mayo feels too greasy than before, the fries are always soggy and sometimes the crispy chicken is not very crispy. But the price jumped from 140 to 170 for a jumbo roll, which I think is not a bargain anymore. But yes, I still believe their prize-size ratio is better than most of the places out there. And yes, their fish finger strips are really good too!
I think this place is perfect for college students. Adults may have mixed feelings about the rolls here.
But yes, if you're ever in Kammanahalli craving for rolls and don't mind the long lines, Al-Amanah might just be what you're...
Read moreDuring one weekday evening, I visited the place for the first time. I paid the bill, and the next moment I literally went on the streets in between long queues. (Even in my village government ration shop, I haven't stood for a long time like this!) I waited in the queue for almost 1.30 hours, from 8.45 to 10.15 p.m. In between the wait times, I got a couple of phone calls from home asking questions like, 'You know what time it is? Are you stuck in traffic? Have you met with an accident?' I genuinely told them I was waiting for the food, and it's taking time.😭 I finally gave up and made the decision to go. Still, I told myself that since I had already spent ₹140 on a large roll, it would be a loss on investment! I comforted myself and waited for my time. I was ready to give my bill to the person when it was finally my time. The man behind me handed me his bill for his order right away. What an early baby, I thought to myself. It was as if a car was passing you at the toll plaza during your turn. He places a four-jumbo roll order. I waited for a while for that to prepare. In addition, he was filming the preparation to create a reel for upload. (I hoped the reel would receive a billion views so he wouldn't come here and annoy people in line!)
The roll had a good taste. It's really a large jubo roll. Perhaps even a sufficient supper for elephants if that's how they feel! It's got the same ingredients as every McDonald's and KFC junk food. Fries made primarily of potatoes and chicken, with a small amount of vegetables and various coloured oils and condiments.
The cafe operator might increase the number of delivery counters to help with the queue and wait times.
One man was in line when I came out, saying to the other, "You know one of my friends came from Chennai to Bangalore only to have a roll here." The packaged jumbo roll kept in my bag got so irritated, and I could feel the heat from within...
