Chickbaik is a place I’ve frequented since 2017. When I say frequented, I really mean it. My dinner was from there every day or every second day for 3 years. That’s how much I loved their food. Great food with great value for money under the previous management. Two people could enjoy a full meal for 200 to 300 bucks.
Now, I can’t say the same. The quality of food has gone down, the portion sizes have gone down. What has gone up are the prices. I understand a marginal increase with inflation, but when there is more than an 80 to 100 rupee jump on a particular item, it’s not feasible anymore.
I’d even appreciate the price if the quality of food was the same as pre-Covid. It’s definitely nowhere close to what it used to be. The shawarma platter was one of the best I’ve ever had. And I’ve had tons of shawarma from across the world. Now the Shawarma is just a roti with meat and excess pasty stuff.
What has improved is the branding and marketing. And that’s definitely turned the fortunes around for the cafe. It’s a full house.
But the cost of food is not something I will come to terms with. Especially with the dwindling quality and quantity. But hey, who cares about what I have to say.
I’m not going to say that you shouldn’t try the place, or you should.
This review is merely to express my displeasure at the steep hike in prices since the change in management.
Having said that, I give my full credit to the management. They are very hospitable and respectful. They know...
Read moreI recently had an incredibly frustrating experience at BroastKhan, and I feel compelled to share my disappointment with others. It's important for potential customers to be aware of the subpar service and complete disregard for customer satisfaction that I encountered during my visit.
First and foremost, I was denied something as basic as a glass of water to drink. It is a fundamental expectation that any establishment, especially in the hospitality industry, should provide customers with water upon request. However, when I politely asked the employee at BroastKhan, they flat-out refused, leaving me astonished and thirsty. This lack of basic service is absolutely unacceptable.
To make matters worse, I also had a simple request to change a drink that I had ordered. However, the employee responded to my request with rudeness and stated that no modifications or cancellations were possible. Their dismissive attitude and refusal to accommodate a simple request further compounded my frustration and disbelief. As a paying customer, I believe it is only fair to expect a certain level of flexibility and understanding from the staff.
I strongly advise potential customers to think twice before visiting BroastKhan. If you value basic courtesy and the ability to have your reasonable requests met, this is not the place for you. The experience I had was extremely disappointing, and I don't want others to endure the same frustration and...
