We visited Albain, Kalyan Nagar, this past Saturday as three families for dinner. While the food was genuinely good (specifically the Mandi and Iffa Chicken), the entire experience was completely overshadowed by appalling service and unacceptable managerial conduct. Deceptive Wait Time & Hidden Charges Initial Misrepresentation : We were quoted a 20-minute wait but were eventually seated after more than an hour, a significant failure in basic table management. Misleading Policy : We ordered 2 half Mandi for our group of six adults. A displayed notice clearly advertised "unlimited rice." When we politely requested extra rice based on this sign, we were shocked to find a ₹300 charge added to the bill. Disrespectful Managerial Response The core issue arose when we politely shared feedback, suggesting clearer communication about the rice charge.Instead of accepting constructive criticism, the person at the counter (the manager/owner) became immediately aggressive. He began shouting, waving the notice in our faces, and rudely insisted we "should have known before coming." His tone, body language, and words were disgracefully disrespectful. While someone eventually intervened and he offered an apology, the interaction had already irrevocably spoiled the entire dining experience. Verdict & Cautionary Alert: Good food cannot mask such a fundamental failure in hospitality and customer ethics. With this kind of attitude and service accountability, Albein does not deserve the social media hype it generates This is also a word of caution.. Step-in only if you have enough time in your hands and absolutely zero expectations regarding service or respectful engagement. This level of customer treatment is unacceptable and a major liability...
Read moreI recently dined at Al Bain Restaurant, and it was a fantastic culinary experience! This Middle Eastern restaurant offers a diverse menu with a special focus on Turkish cuisine, and we tried the Uzbeki mutton pilaf and chicken Adana kebab—both were exceptional.
The Uzbeki mutton pilaf was the standout dish for me. The mutton was tender and flavorful, cooked perfectly with aromatic rice and a mix of spices that gave it a wonderful depth. It was filling, comforting, and really captured the essence of Central Asian flavors.
The chicken Adana kebab was also excellent. The chicken was grilled beautifully, tender and juicy with just the right balance of spices. Instead of the usual flatbread, it was served with a side of fresh salad, creamy mayo, and a tangy green chutney—a great alternative that complemented the kebab’s smoky flavor perfectly. The chutney added a nice kick, and the mayo brought a creamy contrast to the spices.
The restaurant's atmosphere is warm and inviting, and the service was friendly and attentive. The staff made sure we had everything we needed, and the food arrived quickly and fresh.
If you’re in the mood for authentic Turkish and Middle Eastern flavors, Al Bain is definitely worth a visit. I highly recommend trying the Uzbeki mutton pilaf it’s a great combination that’s sure to leave you satisfied. I’ll be returning soon to explore more...
Read moreWe visited Al Bain recently, and it turned out to be one of the most disappointing dining experiences we’ve had. First, we had to wait for nearly 40 minutes to get seated because of the crowd. The restaurant has clearly been promoted heavily on Instagram and other platforms, but the seating capacity doesn’t match the hype. Now coming to the real issue — we placed our order after confirming the portion sizes with the staff, but the portions turned out to be much smaller than what was described. What made things worse was the misleading information about “unlimited rice.” It was clearly mentioned on both the menu and a notice board that half mandi comes with unlimited rice. But when we asked for more, the staff rudely said it only applies to the full mandi. When we brought this up at the billing counter, the owner’s behavior was absolutely unacceptable. He became aggressive, snatched the notice board, and even threw it at my friend’s face in front of everyone. He spoke with extreme arrogance and hostility, showing no professionalism whatsoever. We eat out almost every alternate day and have visited countless restaurants, but I’ve never witnessed such audacity and disrespect from an owner. The food itself was average at best, and no meal is worth being treated like that. Overall, terrible experience, rude management, and misleading information — definitely not...
