Whether it's the tangy, spicy Pani Puri or the creamy, savory Dahi Puri, each bite is packed with an explosion of flavors. Perfect Balance of Spices: The flavors are balanced perfectly, with the right amount of spice and tanginess that enhances the overall experience.
Dahi Puri: The Dahi Puri at Aralimara is a flavor-packed treat. The puris are crisp and crunchy, acting as the perfect base for a generous topping of chilled, creamy curd (dahi). The curd is smooth, cooling, and complements the spices used in the dish beautifully. The addition of spices and chutneys, such as sweet tamarind, spicy chili powder, and tangy yogurt, gives each bite an intense burst of flavor that spreads across your mouth. The coolness of the yogurt, combined with the crunch of the puris and the kick from the spices, creates a wonderful flavor profile that makes it a must-try for anyone who enjoys a mix of savory and tangy snacks.
Sev Puri: The Sev Puri is another delightful offering from Aralimara. The puris are perfectly crisp, and when paired with a crunchy layer of sev (crispy chickpea noodles), it provides a fantastic texture. The puri itself is light and biscuit-like in texture, offering a satisfying crunch with every bite. The spice mix, along with the tangy chutneys, creates a fantastic balance of flavors. The sev adds an extra crunch and a salty kick, perfectly complementing the sweet and sour chutneys. This combination results in a bite that is crunchy, savory, and full of zest, making it an absolute crowd-pleaser.
Final Thoughts: Aralimara Paanipuri is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic, flavorful street food in Bangalore. Read moreStarted in the 1950’s as a small cart in the streets of Bengaluru, Aralimara Pani Poori has come a long way adjusting to the ever changing landscapes of Bengaluru. Many cultures have come and gone, but this Pani Poori has remained through it all. A relatively big shop now caters to the people, with one half focusing on the Pani Poori while the other half of the shop caters to other dishes, such as the masala poori, Bhel, Sev, and so on. We tried the following dishes while we were there.
We started off with Pani Poori, not many people were around so we were lucky to get the plate on spot without having to wait for long. A nice blend of sweetness and spicy flavours make you want to keep having more than just a single plate of Pani Poori.
Our personal favorite at Aralimara Pani Poori was the Masala Poori. The beauitful peas curry with crushed poori, sev, onions and chilli was one of the best Masala Poori’s we have had in the city of Bengaluru.
The Dahi Poori was a little bit of a disappointment. The dahi was too thick, it wasn’t smooth and it did not go well with the poori and the masala. A smoother texture and a little more cool dahi can make a significant impact to this dish.
We ended our journey at Aralimara Pani Poori with Sev Poori. The flat Poori with smashed aloo, masala powder, green chutney, imli chutney, and some sev on top. Yes, that is indeed the right way to make some delicious Sev Poori.
The service is super fast, the place can be very crowded so standing and eating may not be the most comfortable thing to do since there won’t be much space. They accept digital payments as well so it is quite easy to pay and avoid waiting in line. Better to go early to avoid the rush and enjoy some delicious Chaats. You can find them at 68, Appu Rao Road, Raghavendra Colony, Chamrajpet, Basavanagudi, Bangalore.
