Read moreAh, the unforgettable culinary adventure of a lifetime! Imagine a place where the concept of taste is an enigma, and culinary art is redefined as a minimalist masterpiece. Welcome to the pinnacle of Korean dining, where the noodles with seafood boast a flavor profile as complex as a glass of water, enhanced only by a daring sprinkle of chili powder. At the modest price of 700 rs, you can indulge in this exquisite bowl of, well, let's call it "spicy essence."
But wait, there's more! The stir-fry pork with squid offers a thrilling game of hide-and-seek with its elusive 3 pieces of pork and 2 pieces of squid, artfully camouflaged among a vibrant medley of carrots, capsicum, onion, and cabbage. At another generous 700 rs, this dish is a testament to the beauty of restraint, especially when it comes to basic ingredients like salt.
As for the kimchi, let's just say it's a bold new interpretation of fermentation, starring a solo performance by gochugaru. And then there was the plum tea and citrus tea, where sugar takes center stage, leaving any semblance of tea far behind. After such a culinary escapade, one might hope for some solace in a cup, but alas, these teas are determined to leave a lasting impression.
In short, if you're seeking an unforgettable, avant-garde dining experience that challenges your palate and your wallet,...
Read moreTerrible. Giving one star because I can’t give a -7. The ambience is odd, possibly even shady, with a stench of some sewage line coming through probably. The food is so blah - and no, it’s not because Korean flavours may not be something we are used to, no. We’ve been to several Korean restaurants before but Arirang is something else. The sides were below average to average - the meat was not pre-marinated, it was frozen and plain and took forever to cook and even when done was so special that each piece was burnt on the edges and undercooked in the centre. Every bite had a burnt taste and what even do you pair it with? As I said the sides weren’t great. The bill was so high it really ruined our evening (the food had taken us halfway to a terrible mood already). A waste of time and energy - please do NOT EVER go to this place. Please save both your taste buds and your hard earned money.
Side note: Soora Sang in Indiranagar, Bangalore is THE place for amazing Korean food, great ambience, and value for money. I’d go there every day if I could. Just mind blowing flavours and great service. Thank...
