Finally got to find out this gem of a place which serves good punjabi food at reasonable fare amidst naive decor . If you are in search of a minuscule place serving rustic punjabi fare which would leave an everlasting impression on your taste buds then head to Bathinda junction . Reasons Iโm impressed : Humble space with naive decor which is outright minimalistic . Seating options like charpai or Manji which is a traditional old school style woven bed used in Dhabhas. Appetising food - which has both vegetarian and non vegetarian delicacies Humble staff who do their best . VFM -5/5 Not too expensive on your pocket - and at the end of your meal it would ensure a delightful experience Pind da khanaaa ๐คฉ๐ How many of you crave for good punjabi fare in Bengaluru ? . Iโm crave for makki di roti and sarson da saag in winters ๐ฅฐ Butter chicken and naan , paneer butter masala , daal makhani . Yes many of you would we have many places which serve these ! But do all places get it and bring that smile and contended feeling for you ! Very few ! Finally found yet another gem of a place - hidden gem ๐ which serves some delectable Punjabi fare . . Food 5/5 My reccos - ๐๐ปmakki di roti and saag - do not miss this combo in here the saag is a punjabi speciality found in households during winters - the chef here made sure itโs retaining the native taste with addition of white butter and ghee. ๐๐ปdaal makhani ๐๐ปbutter chicken ๐๐ปRara chicken - a spicy version of chicken curry which has fine blend of naive spices and chicken cooked well . ๐๐ป stuffed kulcha ๐๐ป soya chaap- the malai soya chaap is just wow the first bite of it would make realise the proper use of malai which enhances the richness in the dish. ๐๐ป fish tikka - made with basa fillet a strong dose of spices for this melt in mouth dish is a something I loved . ๐๐ปend your meal on a sweet note with their in-house special - churi- a naive recepie which is a dessert (try it for sure ) Lassi ! . Price - not too heavy on your pocket . Seating - prefer the khatai option where two of you choose to sit on a old school Dhabha cot with a wooden plank in between. . Iโm heading back for sure with my family...

ย ย ย Read moreI have frequent cravings for roadside Punjabi dhaba food. I keep visiting the โBhatindaโ restaurants in HSR and Koramangala. This was my 2nd visit to Bhatinda Junction after a number of visits to nearby Bhatinda Station.
I ordered my personal favorites . Tandoori chicken, tandoori roti, makke di roti , sarson da saag , palak paneer , lassi , gajar ka halwa , and gulab jamun . The dishes were as always very delectable. These authentic Punjabi dishes are Bhatinda Junctionโs usp . I had earlier ordered food from my home through Zomato , and the taste was at the same level. I find their food to be very much balanced in the masala quotient. None of their dishes are too much loaded with oil and masala.
They tried to maintain a Punjabi dhaba type ambience with the Khjatiyas, small wooden chairs and open air seating. But the place is actually small. The Tables, khatiyas and the chair placements feel very congested.
On weekends this place will be over crowded. There is a small waiting area with only 4 chairs. On weekends and peak times you will surely have wait times of 15-30 mins .
I figured out that cleanliness goes for a toss on the weekends when they have a lot of crowd .I personally got tumblers, plates, spoons with food stains. They have to improve the cleanliness quotient.
They do have a clean washbasin and a small , clean bathroom .
They donโt have dedicated parking , but you can park your car or bike on the main road.
Please visit this place if you want to taste pure punjabi dhaba food , and get a feel of a dhaba. Preferably visit...
