It is a nice and cozy place with affordable costing for a night out with family.

Detailed review: The dome is chargeable and best to book prior. Pre booking amount is charged. Booking for is around 1 1/2 hours. The dome offers three packages with their own bells and whistles. We booked the basic plan which was for around Rs. 4200 and it included complimentary cake (around 500gms), decorations with balloons of your choice and decor and two complimentary mocktails. The staff follow up on time and even make sure the preparations are done before your arrival. Ambience: The place is on the 5th floor. No lift access and have to use stairs (lift is only till 4th floor). As you walk in, there is the indoor sitting area and the outdoor seating. Domes are placed in the outdoor seating and cozy and warm enough even on a cold chilly evening by Bangalore standards. Domes are clean and well maintained with good lighting for photo opportunities. Food: We tried the kebabs, chicken gravy, naan and noodles here. Specific instructions for less spicy for kids was entertained. Additional food, if any, can be parcelled. However, the same is charged at a nominal fee. As for mocktails, avoid milk based ones as we weren't a big fan. The peach cooler was good. Service: Service was prompt and very friendly staff. They will accommodate your requests and will be available at all times. I assume each dome has their own server and this does help a ton. For us it was Rubel. He was good at his job and ensured that we got the best recommendation for food and drinks. He made our dining experience very good. Follow staff advice on house specials and dish of the day, and you shall be good. We ordered a plethora of non veg snacks and main course. Couldn't get past the snacks and had to take away the main course. Spend: All in all, we spent around Rs. 7000 which includes the cost of booking the dome and food and drinks. This was for a family of three, two adults and a kid. Reasonable considering that all the food was non veg and we ordered more than we could finish. Please bear in mind that the cost of the dome is for the experience. Bill included the service charges.

Now to dispel some myths which i had in my mind after reading fellow reviewers: You can enjoy the cafe without booking the dome as well. However, since its paid and pre booked for other customers, you can not be able to sneak in a picture from inside. Service charge is added to the bill. However, i was informed that the same can be asked to be removed. But it depends on the individual i guess. They are specific about your booking slots. So be on time. You wouldn't want to wait neither should someone else wait for you. In case your time slot is over and you aren't done, they will accommodate you elsewhere without fuss.

All in all, a fun night and a good place with great ambience and worth the cost for the experience. I will surely visit again, maybe not for the dome experience but just the food.

PS: We did not try the hookah. Detailed review after a visiting almost a back. Waited around the much time to see if they are pushy with...

We booked the dome for a birthday surprise followed by dinner for family and friends. The booking was made one week IN advance.

Dome decor - 4/5 Food -2/5 Service - 0/5 Staff attitude - negative CHEFs attitude - negative WORST IDEA TO TAKE GUESTS FOR FOOD THEIR. CAN STILL BOOK THE DOME DECORATION BUT IF U DONT WANT UR GUEST LEAVING WIDOUT EATING PLEASE DO NOT TAKE THEM TO THIS PLACE

Coming to the decor - decent work their, however the domes are too small and over stuffed with balloons and no ventilation so we could not stand for more than 5 minutes even for pictures

FOR FOOD, We order paneer tikka, dragon baby corn and fren fries which were just average. Along with our starters order, we gave order for our main course (dal, paneer sabzi mix veg and breads). The worst service begins here, the waiter served dal and roti and when we enquired about our sbzi he said it's cooking. When we told him that rotis are getting cold and asked to expedite our order on sabzi he said meanwhile u have dal to eat with roti. Then on asking for bowls for dal he said we don't have dal eat in ur plate only. The paneer sabzi was below average and the mix veg was just some cauliflower and paneer in some green liquid.

The mix veg and sabzi was served after all our guests had one round of chapati with dal.

When we reordered rotis it took than more than 30 minutes to bring it and then the waiter brought one kulcha and the kept it in front of my friend and rudely said we do not have any more kulchas it's over (this was told 30 mins after order) . Listening to this we got really upset as our guests were hungry and were tolerating the worst attitude of the staff.

We went to speak to manager and then chef also came out and said mam we r trying to cook some 2-3 rotis for you (TRYING for half n hour?) but stock is over . Then he started giving excuse of election as a reason for delay (which no one understood) and then the chef told us mam ur order was huge (which by the way booked 1 week in advance) and ur ordering in between, although we ordered everything at beginning ( i did not know that in restaurant we have to guess how much everyo

At last the chef started stating, i am managing 15 places, u can look at my insta, and started arguing what not ...

At the end we and our guest have to leave the place widout completing our dinner with souch of...

The diverse menu caters to various tastes, from delectable appetizers to mouthwatering main courses and indulgent desserts. Visited The Dom Cafe recently and I’d say the experience was a mixed bag. Starting with the positives — the interiors inside the café are quite well done, with a cozy and modern vibe. The highlight is definitely the terrace area, where they’ve set up dome-shaped private seating cabins for small gatherings and functions. It’s a unique concept and adds a nice touch to the place, though I felt the terrace itself could’ve been designed better to match the interiors below. Coming to the food — unfortunately, this is where things fell short for me. The menu was surprisingly very limited, which was unexpected. I ordered Fish Fingers, Margarita Pizza, French Fries, Butter Garlic Prawns, and a Cold Coffee. The Fish Fingers were a disappointment — they were over-fried and the fish inside had dried out completely. Ideally, fish fingers should be crispy outside and juicy inside, but this was far from it. The Margarita Pizza too lacked any distinct flavour and tasted rather bland, which was unfortunate for such a classic dish. On the positive side, the French Fries, Butter Garlic Prawns, and Cold Coffee were good and lived up to expectations. Service-wise, the staff were genuinely friendly and polite. However, there was one odd incident where someone started sweeping the floor with a broom right next to our table while we were eating. It was a bit off-putting and could have easily been avoided. It’s little things like this that affect the overall dining experience. To sum it up — The Dom Cafe has great potential with its unique dome-style terrace seating and pleasant interiors, but they really need to improve the food quality and fine-tune their service practices. Would I visit again? Maybe, but only if they expand their menu and work on the kitchen standard.

My recent visit to The Dome cafe in HSR Layout left me with mixed feelings. This cafe offers two distinct experiences, one indoors and the other on the rooftop. Starting with the indoor seating area, it was quite disappointing. The place was crowded with youngsters enjoying hookah, resulting in a smoky and unpleasant atmosphere. The lack of cleanliness further dampened the experience. It's safe to say that this indoor section is best avoided. On the other hand, the rooftop ambiance is a stark contrast. It's unique and offers a great setting for photography and special events like birthdays and anniversaries. The three glass domes are beautifully decorated with balloons and lights, making it an attractive spot for cake cutting and enjoying a glass of juice. However, it's worth noting that dining inside the dome isn't an option, and the limited space allows for only a brief 10-minute stay. So, it's primarily suitable for taking a few photographs and celebrating special moments. One significant drawback of The Dome cafe is the presence of hookah service indoors, which creates a less-than-family-friendly environment. The indoor space lacks proper ventilation, resulting in a heavy smoky atmosphere. In terms of food, the quality and taste are decent, but the overall hygiene of the place is a concern. Considering all these factors, I would not recommend this cafe. If you're planning to visit with family, it's best to avoid it altogether. While it has some unique elements, the drawbacks overshadow the positives, making it an unsuitable choice for a wholesome dining experience.

Staffs - so so so rude, their expression were very bad full of attitude, the service is dead level slow, their should be more staffs to assist if they know it’s weekend and the cafe is hyped. We were literally waiting for someone to get free then to come us, called staffs multiple times then only they were coming. One staff was so rude I can’t imagine, when I asked them it’s been 15mins we have asked for water can u pls get us - he’s like kind of threw his order note book and gave a very weird expression and got us the bottle and again very loudly put that in table, very angrily he was making sounds of utensils and stuffs he was doing, such a bad mannered behaviours. Coming to food it was pathetic. So bland and so tasteless. The quantity was literally like very less just to taste it seems, the pink pasta, prawns fish soup as starters were so bad that we didn’t ordered any main course just had ice-cream as dessert and left, mocktails were very okayish kind of similar taste. unnecessary hyped. Doesn’t look like the images they had posted. The seats had stains, not maintained properly, dusted and uncleaned. They have mentioned 5th floor outside but in lift there were only 4th floors which caused confusions and no one was there to help or assist with the same when the Google number of them no one picked. After struggling for sometime we found we have to walk one stairs up to get to cafe( they should put this atleast somewhere either in updates section in map or inside life or keep someone in receptionist area. Mood off by visiting this place. Not recommended at all.
