I spent an amount close to a thousand bucks to just waste more than half of the food. These guys need to revise their menu for personal size orders too. I ordered some Thai noodles (don't even think about ordering) which I was informed was wheat noodles which it wasn't and all I could taste was spice so sharp I had to order a cold drink to cool off. I threw away more than half of it as they don't do half portions. Along with noodles I order Chinese fried chicken (would 100% recommend) which was very appetizing. Now, there's a reason I'm rating this restaurant so low, when I ordered the Chinese fried chicken, the chef came to ask if I want to have full or half. Since, I was solo dining, I asked for have a portion. When I'm done eating, I get bill which mentions full portion of the same. I go to the billing counter for correction and the person there says that half portion is not there in menu. I suggested he ask the chef if it was half or full portion to which the chef said it was half. So I for a moment was happy that the bill would be reduced. To my surprise, the person on the billing counter said, "No, it is full portion." Now at this point, I don't argue with this person and just with a silent tone ask him, "if the chef said it's half a portion, why are you charging me full?" His response was, "No, no, It's full only, We don't have half." Paid the bill, left the restaurant with take-out of the leftovers. Came home ate the chicken later but the noodles fate was decided the moment I had my first bite. Could've given it to some in need but I'd rather not since I don't want curse from others over giving...
Read moreI recently revisited this restaurant, which was once a great spot for Chinese cuisine. While the taste used to be quite good, it has noticeably declined over time. It would be much better if they could focus on improving the flavor and consistency of their dishes.
The ambiance is pleasant, but cleanliness is a major concern. Tables and sofas are often dirty, and it seems like no one is actively maintaining them. This affects the overall dining experience and makes it feel less inviting. At times, you might even feel that getting a similar Chinese dish from elsewhere would be a better choice.
The staff, who were previously supportive and efficient, now seem to be understaffed and in a rush. Most of them appear to be new and lack the experience needed to provide good service. This results in delays and a less satisfying customer experience.
Overall, my experience was disappointing, and given the available options nearby, I believe there are better places to enjoy...
Read moreExtremely Disappointed – Worst Chopsuey Experience
Worst Chopsuey I’ve had — no scrambled egg as expected, just a half-cooked omelette. We asked for crispy noodles, but got soggy ones. The sauce tasted more like Indian curry than Chinese. What was even more frustrating was the attitude of the manager (or the billing staff). Instead of acknowledging the mistake, he first blamed us for not ordering correctly, then shifted the blame to the waiter. But we had clearly seen the order sheet — the waiter had taken it down perfectly. The fault was clearly in the kitchen, yet the manager kept defending the situation and refused to take any responsibility
The manager even claimed others outlets are franchise and not even original but claimed theirs is original when I mentioned I had better chopsuey in other outlets. which makes no sense because I’ve had better food here before in this outlet as well.
All we expected was accountability. Sadly, we left...
