Review for Bob’s Bar, Kalyan Nagar (Table No. 10, Visit: 22nd Oct, 8:30–11:30 PM)

A truly disappointing experience at Bob’s Bar tonight. When I requested the waiter to remove the service charge, he argued aggressively, saying “Why have we displayed it then if it’s not mandatory? Display karne ka matlab kya hai?” I showed him the court order clearly stating that service charge is voluntary, but he refused to accept it.

When I asked to speak with the manager, he said, “Is baat ke liye manager baat karne nahi aayenge.” When I asked for a solution, he bluntly replied, “Kuch nahi kar sakte.”

Even after I mentioned I’m a frequent cust omer, he rudely claimed I was visiting for the first time. The floor manager initially tried to defend him, but later personally admitted the waiter was wrong and said he would complain against him.

I still paid the service charge, but this kind of rude, arrogant, and dismissive attitude is completely unacceptable. Bob’s Bar has lost a loyal customer today — not because of the service charge, but because of the utter lack of respect, accountability, and professionalism.

Displaying a notice doesn’t make something mandatory. Service should be earned through respect, not imposed...

I have been a Bob's Bar Indiranagar customer for more than a decade now. So when I found out that they had opened an outlet in Kalyan Nagar, I had to try it. Guess what Left directly opens into the Bar. 🍾

Parking: BASEMENT PARKING AVAILABLE

Ambience: A rooftop, open experience. The place is vast, simple and has very good vibes

Washroom: Very Clean and Rustic 🙃

Food and Drinks : of course as usual. Small plates and beers are amazing.

Prices : Super worth.

Things to notice : Its not a single property as it's in Indiranagar. It's a commercial multistorey building where Bob's is on the 4th floor. But they have designed the area in such a way, it gives a complete open area experience.

No menu. They have scanners for the menu. So you have to scan and order through your phone. Something which I never liked. A personal interaction with the captain is always the best is what I feel.

I didn't find the valet. They do have a basement parking lot. But with time , one may find it difficult to get parking there.

They don't take reservations. Walk in and get settled as and when the table is available.

I thoroughly enjoyed my meals and didn't feel any different from my regular Bob's experience. I'm gonna go...
