California Burrito Mexican Kitchen @ Marathahalli — Restaurant in Bengaluru

I really was missing Mexican food lately. Although let’s be honest, I’d been missing a lot of different cuisines lately. lol. Part of it I think is because I can’t easily go out and get whatever it is that I’m craving. In the meantime, my hankering luckily got satisfied by these spicy Mexican dishes by California Burrito.

We had: 🌯 Crispy Chicken Burrito 🔥 with Curry Rice, Coleslaw, Mushrooms, Red Bell Pepper, Arugula, Cheddar Cheese & Smokey Américaine Sauce. The burrito was surprisingly light, creamy and provided a nice change and nuanced flavor that couldn't be matched.

This BBQ Chicken Rice Bowl 🥙 made with a very good quality rice that did just wonders and was even more delicious than you can imagine. We got the feel of a summertime barbecue any time of year with this flavor-packed dish.

Chipotle Crispy Chicken Tacos tasted pretty good, the ingredients were pretty fresh and of good quality. No wilted lettuce or soggy tomatoes or what not. The chicken was juicy, nicely flavored, and not too salty. Plus they built it the way we’d like it.

At first glance before you start to tear into the meal you would never know that there was any difference in this cheesy quesadilla and the regular one. And really, once you bite in you can’t taste much of a difference either. The crispy part mostly gets drown out by the liquid and melted cheese they use to stuff the inside. But once you get past that part and get to pieces that haven’t been covered in cheese, you can taste a notable difference. It’s the chicken “chips” they released earlier, which are pretty good, and obviously, work well in a quesadilla.

They have a variety of options to choose from. You can customise your burrito, nachos, rice bowl, salad or even your tacos. Here, we tried -grilled BBQ chicken burrito -spicy chicken tacos peri peri dippers and mushroom popcorn -chicken cheese dominator and Mexican corn fiesta quesadillas -mexican sunrise and pink lemonade from beverages.

Burrito was very fulfilling and also it had all the healthy and fresh ingredients with sour cream which added to the flavour. Loved the crunchy tacos. They had the right amount of spice. Peri peri dippers had my heart. It is a must try snack! Totally loved the quesadillas. It was amazing and if you love spicy food, you should try it. And the bevarges were a cherry on the cake. Very refreshing...

The most horrible service and horrible day I have had. I ordered a meal at 7pm and by the time it reached me it was someone else's order and all the hassles related to that mess. I had placed the order again with the Fern City branch and found that they don't even know that an order can be placed via the website. The staff and service of California Burritos are so inefficient and so incompetent that they don't know how to take orders and deliver it properly and moreover making a mess of the whole situation. My family with 2 senior citizens and a kid waited for 4 hours until we went to bed with neither swiggy not California Burritos being able to help us. I hope others don't have to suffer what i have suffered and suggest alternatives to this. Had a terrible weekend and a terrible experience with California Burritos. Useless staff and...
