Chindalur's cafe — Restaurant in Bengaluru

Though I had been passing through the road in front of the hotel , had never stopped by. Yesterday ,I stopped to have some idlis / vade and coffee. Idlies were steaming hot and extremely soft. Vade was equally good. Coffee was okay. What impresses me most is the enterprising spirit of the two partners who have established this eatery just 4 months ago. The most striking thing about the hotel is its price range. Very reasonable. Another welcome feature is that they serve snacks in plates made from Arecanut leaves with wooden spoons that one can use and throw. I would appreciate anyone offering food at competitive prices , that is cooked and served clean! They say it is open till 1.00 am! But I wonder why! The reputation of the hotel for Masala dose and Shavige bath are believed to be good . But will try next time. Hope they will keep the place clean and hygienic as the crowd increases. Ghee Pudi Tatte Idli – While the size of the tatte idli was smaller than usual, the texture totally made up for it. It literally melts in your mouth! And that green chutney? Absolutely delicious — fresh, flavorful, and pairs perfectly. 4.5/5

Ghee Pudi Masala Dosa – One word: perfect. Finally, a place that uses ghee generously but not excessively. The dosa was crispy, and the masala inside was flavorful. Definitely a must-try! 5/5

Ghee Pudi Onion Uttappa – I usually don’t go for onion uttappas, but this one changed my mind. Crispy edges, soft center, and great balance of flavors.4/5

While I have a deep appreciation for the cuisine offered, I believe there's an opportunity to enhance both the quality and flavor profiles to align with the initial standards. Upon its launch, the restaurant presented dishes that were exceptionally comforting, reminiscent of home-cooked meals, and gentle on digestion. Regrettably, there has been a noticeable decline in these aspects as the establishment has gained prominence. Specifically, there's been a reduction in quality, with the food now exhibiting a less desirable taste and causing digestive discomfort.
