Chowman (Arekere) — Restaurant in Bengaluru

Had a wonderful opportunity to dine-in at Chowman, Arekere.

Was pleasantly surprised with the great portions available and served without delay. Food was quite delicious too.

I've listed below what we ate. A single serving of the below is more than enough for 2 people, and if you're in the smaller appetite crowd then 3 could also easily share this.

For starters we had the hot and sour chicken soup (5/5) and the fried chicken wings (3/5). The soup was hot, spicy and cleared up my nasal passage. The fried chicken, was overly fried, and it felt like too much gingery batter and I personally am not fan of the overpowering ginger flavou. It was quite crispy though.

For main course, we got the wok fried mixed hakka noodles(3.5/5) and hong kong chicken(4/5). The noodles were quite nice, nothing spectacular, and the chicken definitely had some fish sauce added to it. They were both enjoyable and quite filling.

Finally for desert we had the darsan with vanilla ice-cream (3.5/5), the cooling ice cream was much needed to cut down on the greasiness of the meal and the darsan was a new experience. The fried honeyed crisps with seasame toppings were unique but difficult to eat. It would have been easier to eat in a bowl instead of a plate.

They have an extensively large menu, catering specific to children as well. Will require multiple trips to try it all they offer in their massive menu. Definitely will...

I will never suggest this hotel to anyone for dine or take way too.

Worst experience i was visited to arekere branch with may family for dinner, as me & my wife don't have non veg we ordered veg momos but my other family members ordered non veg. They served first momos saying veg momos i eat it but it was chicken momos as soon as I got to know that it was chicken hotel guy came & said sorry sir it was veg i was so much disappointed & angry on the staff but I try to remain calm because I was don't wanted to ruin my family member mood. Servor came & apologize with me. I was angry like hell buy I tried to remind calm & i started eating other veg food. I know some times it happens but in India we respect few of our culture/followings alot i was really disappointed at almost eand of our lunch there manager come to ask how was food my family member tried to explain the situation before that he said sorry for that we scolded our chef for it in some attitude style that really disappointed even more, this is really worst way of serving people please hire a staff who have hospitality nature not just to do job for name sake.

People goes to hotels not because they can't cook in home it's because they get some good ambience but this ruined my enter mood & i decided not to go any hotels where veg & non veg is served...

Very unprofessional restaurant took an order through swiggy 9.16pm and I waited till 11:03 only to realized the order was in a mess. The restaurant customer gave me gyaan on the process how order is prepared a delivered. There is no direct line to reach the outlet. I kept asking them can you check with your outlet on my order , they kept saying your order is ready your delivery partner is not there. This happened at 10:19 pm.when I reached swiggy, they assisted by assigning a new partner who was there in 2 mins. When I called the new partner on the delivery status ,he said he is waiting for the order to handed over. I asked him to pass the phone to the restaurant only to know that my order was handed over at 9:30pm. You chowman idiots and cheaters felt people would buy anything you sell. You never marked my order complete on the system and you want me to believe you handed over the order to the delivery guy without marking it. Will file an FIR against your cheating. 2hours wasted. One of the most unprofessional restaurant. I doubt if they give quality food or use unethical ways to like swapping meats with stale stuff. Never order from.herr... very very unprofessional. If they can do for such a small amount.they have no ethics for business. their license should...
