Iris Suites — Hotel in Bengaluru

This is a gem of a place in B’lore. Smartly designed rooms give the sense of the space being large. Ample storage space to keep away luggage which will not obstruct room flow and a large sink adjacent to the tea-coffee maker was very convenient. The hair dryer in the bathroom and night floor lamps in the room were additional bonus which is not even available in higher priced hotel rooms. The breakfast has limited options of 2 main items in addition to tea/coffee, fresh juice and cornflakes. However, the menu items don’t get repeated the next day and is fresh, so I enjoyed my breakfast the 3 days I stayed in the hotel. Staff is very courteous and helpful. Due to a 4hr flight delay, I checked into the hotel past midnight. Despite being so late, Jithin (who I think is the night manager) was very helpful in a smooth check-in and there was also a uniformed housekeeping man to help with the luggage. When my online ordered food reached the hotel, Jithin personally delivered it to my room. When I wanted to change my rooms the next day, it was done smoothly and without any unnecessary fuss. Do note that the twin-bed rooms have windows that open to a neighbouring building wall, just about 10ft away. I therefore changed my room to a double bed room facing the road. Best decision ever, as I got the greenest room I have ever stayed in B’lore city. The welcome break from the hustle of Bangalore. A very beautiful looking entrance laced with greenery. Well designed 4 floors with rooms which are spacious and the terrace is cherry on the cake. Clean and well maintained rooms. Corner rooms have better use of space. All rooms have small balconies with a good view. The staff is smart and professional and makes effort to go an extra mile to ensure your stay is comfortable. Lavish spread of breakfast with range from Parathas to Puri . Idli , Varieties of dosa and uttapam are available for selection. Availability of juices and fresh fruits add another layer of healthy options to the spread. Tea and coffee is made in-house and tastes quite great. The housekeeping staff, front office and room service staff is extremely professional and can give 5 star hotel staff a run for their money. Good location great service and well maintained rooms add a very positive and pleasant experience. Thank you team Iris Suites for making this stay a memorable one for the group. We stayed at this hotel for a week due to its proximity to IIM B. Initially, we were assigned a ground floor room adjacent to the pantry, which emanated a strange and unpleasant odor. Additionally, the room lacked proper ventilation, making our stay quite uncomfortable. After considerable discussion and an extra payment, we were upgraded to a spacious room on the 4th floor, which was satisfactory.

Subsequebtly, we were moved to a standard room on the 3rd floor for last two days. However, the experience for that was really bad and disappointing since our room was filled with cigarette smoke throughout one night due to someone smoking in the adjacent room. Despite lodging complaints with the hotel staff, no action was taken. The staff insisted the room was non-smoking, yet the occupant of the adjacent room claimed they were not informed of this policy. This indicates a clear lapse in management.
