Stepping into Copitas in Bangalore is akin to embarking on a journey to the epicenter of mediocrity, garnished with a sprinkle of pretense and served in a cocktail glass of unfulfilled potential. The service, while commendable, tries to shines but merely as a dim light against the backdrop of an underwhelming unimpressive and sad menu and a cocktail list that could easily have been concocted by any amateur with a Pinterest account and a vague understanding of spirits. The gin cocktails, heralded as the establishment's pièce de résistance, manage to be both a standout and an epitome of ordinariness, achieving the remarkable feat of setting the bar high for mediocrity.
To say Copitas has earned its place in the top 50 of anything is to stretch the imagination beyond the realms of sanity, unless, of course, we're discussing a list dedicated to the gloriously mundane. The bar's ambiance, often as empty as the promises of its PR agency, stands as a testament to its authentic reception by the discerning public. The owners and their publicity team, however, deserve a round of applause for their illusionist tactics, somehow securing a top 50 accolade as though by magic.
Nestled within the perplexingly located Four Seasons, which in itself is a beacon of light in Bangalore's otherwise chaotic hotel landscape, Copitas is perched on what could generously be described as a terrace. This architectural marvel, however, fails to save the venue from its inevitable descent into the abyss of forgettable nightlife spots.
In conclusion, Copitas is a destination best avoided, unless one finds joy in the culinary equivalent of a shrug. For those seeking genuine delight, a venture to Rameshwar Cafe for a dosa in the company of eager patrons offers a far more enriching experience. There, at least, the line is a harbinger of quality, rather than a symptom of...

What surprised me was their sustainability efforts in curating the cocktails.
We received welcome drink which was perfect and set the expectation what to expect. Some of their cocktails which we tried was LEAF, bourbon based cocktail and GT. Not from the menu and their shows stopper - whiskey based coffee flavoured cocktail and citrus flavoured cocktail. From food we ordered edamame and prawns.

Read moreI came here with two other people on a Sunday night. I guess the only thing nice I experienced here was the atmosphere.
The drinks and service I received were absolutely subpar.
Literally had to ask someone to give us service after waiting 15 minutes at our table.
They did not follow the most basic industry service standards. Not once did a staff member fill our water glasses. And the wait times were horrific. We had 2 drinks each in the course of 2.5 hours.
Also, the quality of the Old Fashioned was terrible; too watered down.
No attention to detail from the staff. We had two cigar smokers at our table. The staff only got us one ash tray (which made zero sense if you saw the spacing between the two gentlemen). We clearly needed two and had to wait 10 minutes to get one.
Isn't this place highly rated for its drinks and service? Wondering why the quality of service we received was...
