Deflated taste with an inflated ego...... That's exactly is Eshanya..... Went to this place based on a strong recommendation by my fellow foodie cousin with loads of expectations..... The name, Eshanya itself has such a classic retro feel.. The ambiance is elegant and well appointed..... Reception was cordial and we were ushered swifty to a cozy corner...... We started with tomato shorba and the taste was Quite unique..... Then tasted babycorn manchurian.... Which stood quite distinctively with a balanced taste and appreciable crispness..... We started feeling so happy about our choice of the place and then.......... paradise lost................ This restaurant has a forced menu pocily where one has to compulsorily opt for a combo of two rotis or kulcha with a wide selection of gravy...... I felt this was so disastrous.....each person has to order for a seperate thali...... I could never understand why such a divide and rule policy? The essence of North Indian gravies are the great looking kadais.... or decorated vessels and a family would enjoy one or two such gravies with a host of roti basket..... This fun was totally lost......Then we moved to the main menu..... Downside continued.... Waiter could never suggest the bestsellers and was blabbering.... We ordered paneer jwalamukhi as iam a fan of spicy gravy., veg lababdar and veg lazeez..... The thalis were served and I felt pathetic looking at the quantity of gravy given...... I became antarmukhi after eating jwalamukhi, it was not at all spicy and the cream used for gravy base was not fresh....... Veg Lababdar which was supposed to be a rich onion and cashew gravy was surprisingly same in all respect with my gravy..... The best part is you order for any type of roti, kulcha, nan you get the same kind taste..... Dint understand the chef's logic behind it..... Dum veg biriyani had absolutely no dum but only oil and half cooked rice.....At curtain downs, kids enjoyed ice cream..... Summary:-Please have ur dinner in any darshini, hotels or any north indian joints and then come to this place for desserts.........
Read moreThe most amazing thing about this place is it's location! Such nice fresh air! The glasses and even the plates go flying when there's too much wind (literally flies). The restaurant is located in a good location, right next to SSMRV college on one side, and taaza tindi on the other.

Starters:
Main course: Subzi zayekedar- this dish was honestly tasty. I liked the little mashed paneer amidst a variety of vegetables. I could feel the cashew masala in this! Would recommend it!
Rice: Nothing fancy. Just took Dal Kichdi and Eshanya did not disappoint me here. It was good.
Overview: The soups and main course were great, no doubt about it! But they really need to improve on their starters. Nice rooftop area with amazing ventilation. The...
Read moreI recently visited Eshanya The Restaurant, and overall, I had a good experience. The food was delicious, and the service was attentive. However, there were a few drawbacks that prevented me from giving it a higher rating.
Firstly, the environment was quite hot and uncomfortable. It felt like they didn't have a proper cooling system in place, which made it difficult to enjoy my meal. I was sweating throughout my visit, which wasn't ideal.
Another issue I faced was that they didn't provide normal water on the table. This might seem like a small thing, but it's a basic expectation when dining out.
Lastly, the restaurant was quite noisy, which made it hard to carry on a conversation. The noise level was distracting and took away from my overall dining experience.
Despite these issues, I would still recommend Eshanya The Restaurant for its good food and service. However, I hope they take steps to address the environmental comfort, provide basic amenities like water, and work on reducing the noise level.
